Good providers, terrible policies that become barriers for clients/patients in their healing journey. This rating does not reflect the providers I had the privilege of working with and the healing that I was able to accomplish in that time. It is specifically in response to the rigid policies of True North that tie their therapists' hands behind the back when it comes to appropriately supporting their clients. As other have noted, the cancellation policy is super strict. There is flexibility if a therapist is sick and unable to make an appointment, but not much flexibility on the other end if a patient is sick or has emergent circumstances. Leave of Absence Mess: When my therapist supported me taking a leave of absence from work after my mom died in a fire that burned down my childhood home, the practice's policies confused the situation for both me and my therapist. The supervisor ultimately told my therapist (Liza) that she couldn't support me by completing the necessary FMLA leave of absence paperwork because it went against their policy. This is after I was originally told Liza could complete the paperwork, I would just need to pay for her time to do so and I expressed being willing to pay. Liza was the primary medical professional providing care for me during this time and the paperwork is intended to be completed by the professional providing treatment, not a PCP who is not involved and out of the loop. This is a backwards policy that creates more barriers for people when they are most in need of help.

Just started at the Manchester location. But I just want to clarify for others where is place is and where to park. It is in the Hanover Chophouse building. Facing the building go to the right and on the corner there is a door. It says true north. Open that and there will be a door to the elevator or stairs to go up. True north has 2 floors. I went to the lower floor initially because I had no idea there were 2. I randomly asked a clinician and she explained to me. This is the second therapy center I have gone to that basically like no one explains how this works. No check in, no front desk. Just grab a seat I guess and hope someone comes out of a door who is your clinician. I parked at the chophouse. I was informed that before 4 that’s ok. Like I said just started and my clinician is very very nice but overall a little clarification would help at the Manchester office.

Out of all the therapy offices to choose from, this is definitely one of them. Great experience, highly recommend

I have been Kayla's client for the better part of a year now, and she is fantastic. If I could take her to another practice, I would. She has been a huge support for me. However, the cancellation policy at True North Healing Center is beyond rigid. I experienced a death in my family very tragically, and I was recently admitted to the hospital for over a week. Despite reporting these unexpected circumstances to True North Healing Center, they initially offered no flexibility and charged me the $99 fee for not giving a 48-hour notice to cancel these appointments. Over $300 was charged to me for life circumstances I had absolutely no control over. However, the director of operations, Alex, reached out to me and offered a very appropriate solution to my concerns. He reimbursed all of my charged cancellations. Alex was very kind, and I could tell he has great empathy. I appreciate the effort to make things right, and I am unsure at this time what I would like to do about my future mental health needs.

Truth North has been an invaluable resource for me. I cannot recommend this clinic enough to anyone who wants help with their mental health. The services I received have been truly irreplaceable for me!

True North Manchester comes with my highest recommendation! Caroline has been working really hard with me for a long time (Over a year now.) She is professional, reaches out to colleagues when I ask a question she'd like more info on before she answers, and incredibly knowledgeable. Their response when I first inquired about becoming a new client was VERY timely and didn't leave me waiting around for weeks. Deff recommend.

True North Healing Center will give you wonderful care and therapy until you have a real, valid mental health need. They will then terminate services with an adolescent client while they are in crisis. Liza is an amazing therapist, but Becky, however instructs her therapists to abandon cases stating they are beyond their scope of care even though the diagnoses are listed in their area of expertise on their website and Psychology Today profile. Please, for the love of God, do not use True North Healing for your children's mental health care.
