Had roaches and the rooms were nice, no elevator. Services ppl were rude

Very rude Frontdesk in the mornings! Called to get some information, and straight away cut the call saying "NO"

There were cockroaches in the hotel room, we asked to switch rooms and there was mold in the other room. We asked kindly for some sort of accommodation/refund, but received nothing. I don’t normally leave reviews, but the rooms and the service were absolutely horrible. Would not recommend.

If you are just looking for a place to take a shower and sleep, this place is ok especially for the price of $45/night. I would not recommend bringing your family here. The rooms are very outdated and borderline dirty. Stains on the dining chairs, paint peeling and just a musty smell. The lobby says it all when you first walk in.

THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY DONT STAY HERE. You book a room and pay and then cancel it and wont refund you and then say they tried to call you. And give you some fake number they said they called. Extremely rude and dirty place. Do not stay if you want to keep your money and not have it stolen.

Not the nicest hotel to be sure--dirty and run-down. The people were nice, however, at least when all was said and done, as I had left something there and they ended up mailing it, at no charge.

It's a Dump literally

I will never stay there again cause there was no television. All I had to watch all night were the cock roaches run all over my head. Just because its cheap it shouldn't be that bad. I would've given this hotel a zero stars if I could have.

If I could give this dump zero stars, I would. This is the most disgusting hotel in which I've ever stayed. My husband and I had never before been to Scranton but, after driving several hundred miles from New England, decided to spend one night in town before driving home to D.C. My husband made the reservation on his phone while I was driving; if we'd been able to read all the horrible reviews, there's no way we would have booked this dump. After finally finding the hotel, no easy task, at around 10 p.m., the first thing we noticed was a stop work order that had been posted the day before on the front door. The hotel had started renovations without getting the appropriate permits, never a good sign. At the front desk, my husband overheard another guest ask for a different room because hers was overrun with cockroaches and she had her baby with her. On top of that, the hotel literally stinks. I did not see any cockroaches in our room, but we couldn't watch TV because the volume had only one setting: deafening. It was just too late to find another room in a city we'd never visited. When I went to take a shower the next morning, I noticed hair and other materials in the bath tub. No TV, and no shower for us. The hallways were literally crumbling, the wallpaper and paint peeling. Choice Hotels, which owns the EconoLodge brand, gave us 8000 points to make up for our experience, but Harron Patel, the manager, didn't even have the courtesy to respond to my email, let alone refund the more than $90 we spent to stay less than 12 hours in that dump. STAY AWAY!!!

0/10. Disgusting. Shower doesn't work. Sheets had cigarette burn holes in. Corridor stank of cigarette smoke. Sticky floor. Every single thing in that room was damaged. Blankets on the bed instead of duvet or sheets. No complimentary breakfast even though one was advertised - there was coffee but the milk curdled. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Absolutely horrendous. I pull up and think that the place has been vacant for 10 years. It looked like it was closed. There was also signs on the door saying it was closed with people strewn across the parking lot just sitting around. Had to call to make sure they were actually open from the outside. Upon going in to check in, we received two sets of keys that did not work to get in the room. The first room they tried to give us was unclean. The beds were unmade and the door wide open. The second room they gave us. Everything was falling apart, there were bugs in the bathroom. Along with a shower curtain that was moldy and discolored that wouldn’t stay closed, which flooded the bathroom, The bathroom tiles were caving in and moldy. The air conditioner was completely dusty and moldy. Dresser and nightstand doors were falling off, peeling and did not close. It was filthy. There was mice droppings and hair that was not ours everywhere. The sheets stained and yellow. It was just all around awful stay, probably one of the worst I’ve ever had. I let the guy at the front desk know they shouldn’t be renting out that room and he acted like he acted like I had 3 heads. He couldn't even provide me with a receipt. Stay far away from this hotel. I’m so sorry I didn’t read the reviews prior.
