There was a screw up with the reservation and they didn't want to do anything to help fix it. Travel agent that made the booking tried to call the hotel front desk for about an hour and they did not even bother to pick up. It is an awful circus, more of a bar/night club then a hotel. Staff has the attitude issues to match.

I'm writing this review while my problem is being resolved. Message sent to the hotel. During our stay at the Moxy Times Square, we complained about the view from our room (room 1411) – a very close brick wall – even though we had paid more for a City View! Our complaint was acknowledged, but we weren't satisfied with the proposed solution (being moved higher up, closer to the rooftop, making it impossible to sleep). So, we remained in our room with the brick wall. At the end of our stay, we (again) expressed our disappointment, for which they offered us a refund of something (I don't remember the exact amount, but around one hundred dollars...). What a surprise when I received my bill for $2558.18, plus a transaction of $444.95 (instead of refunding me, they're charging me extra! (transactions made on May 24th)). UPDATE: On June 3rd, I have another withdrawal of $7.62!!!! Please stop and refund me.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Moxy for three nights, and we had a great experience. At first glance, the room seemed a bit small, but we adapted quickly, and it turned out to be very cozy. We were really able to rest and recharge. The rooftop is an absolute highlight. The customer service was also excellent. The two guys who stored our luggage treated us incredibly well, and the front desk staff was just as accommodating. One evening, we were heading to a show at Madison Square Garden and it was raining. The front desk kindly offered us umbrellas, which was such a thoughtful gesture that literally saved our night! Overall, it is a vibrant and welcoming place, and we would gladly return.

The bed was extremely comfy but the room was tiny. Very hard to fit suitcases into, the room service was great always very clean sheets and bed. The shower was very unprivate and small, the limescale was quite severe around the tiles on the shower. The mirror was amazing in the hotel as we had 2, we would have preferred to have a Kettel. But we did ask for Kettel water and we received this no problem. The bunk bed is quite uncomfortable to get onto. The reception always had a lingering smell no matter where it was it smelled it was very off putting when entering the building. We also asked for a nyc view and got a brick wall.

A/C is loud all night long!

Small room I stayed in felt bit close in but son had bigger room which was nice hit and miss with rooms

Fantastic location, clean, modern, and exactly as in the photos. The design is also very nice and stylish. The downside is that there is no mini-fridge in the room. That is why I am giving 4 stars; for about $260 per night, I feel the value for money is not quite balanced. Although I realize that this is likely common in New York.

The lounge have worst night Bartender and their night management was useless. They need either retire the Bartender otherwise the company will not make any profit. Rainbow Bartenders is better team vs the lounge Never do business at Moxy Times Square

Clean hotel and room was small but nice. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive but check in took longer than expected because they were helping the customer in front for nearly 20 minutes, would have been nice to have an extra check in employee working during busier hours

As a Marriott Gold Elite member, I was told at check-in that we could have a late checkout until 2 PM. However, when we returned to our rooms (638 and 627) before that time, both key cards had already been deactivated. We had to go back to the front desk to get new keys, but the first attempt didn’t even work. We had to make a second trip downstairs before the issue was finally fixed. Because of the delay, we missed our pre-booked Uber to the airport and ended up losing about $200. This was extremely frustrating and completely avoidable. I’ve stayed at many Marriott properties, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. If late checkout is approved, room keys should remain active until the agreed checkout time.
