Much more genuine experience that many other hotels in the area. Cheap, nice clean rooms, convenient location, and spontaneous service.

unfortunately we had a horrible experience here! upon our arrival we were greeted by extremely rude staff, when we got to our room we were given keys that didn't work so we had to go back down and get keys that worked . once in the room we were met with filth , dirty sheets, dirty shower and toilet and mold on celing . we notified front desk and they set us up in a new room that was a little better minus the balcony that had a ac splitter in it and made it extremely hot and unbearable ! By night 2 I woke up to a charge on my card for $415 dollars when asking the staff why they gave me the run around of when a manager would be in ! Still a week later have not been refunded and have never heard from manager after daily attempts since we left ! We left and went and spent another large amount of money to stay somewhere else! Warning do not stay in this dump ! Far from a hotel more like a motel 6

Pretty decent little hotel, pretty cheap room rate compared to other hotels in Waikiki. Room was clean and in very good shape. Room had a small patio outdoors. Hotel within walking distance to the beach.

The staff were kind and I was very satisfied with my stay overall. However, after check-out, I noticed an unrecognized charge of $12.20 on my credit card. This charge was never explained or authorized at any point during my stay. When I asked about it at the front desk during check-out, I was told that the details would be confirmed and that I would receive an email. I provided my contact information, but even after one month, I have not received any follow-up. I also sent an email myself, but have received no response. An unexplained charge combined with a complete lack of communication is very disappointing. My stay itself was pleasant, which makes this situation even more unfortunate. I would advise future guests to carefully review any additional charges.

The people who run the front were absolutely amazing! Very friendly and accommodating and Even quite understanding. I admit after 13.5 hours of flying then getting a rental car family wants to argue over plans I set months ago. I was over it! The young lady at the front was very understanding and extremely friendly. I had gotten a king suite which had a balcony. While I elected not to have a water view I had a balcony that was high enough in the trees I could sit out of view for most others, and was able to admire the beautiful birds Hawaii has to offer. It truly felt like home for the week we were there. I am greatly appreciative of all the staff at the Equus. Also very close to many attractions, dining, the beach and all that water has to offer. Shopping malls, corner store also within walking distance.

Booked this hotel as it was great value compared to others and close to airport , shopping centre and cruise terminal . There are stairs to get to front off Main Street but one of the staff was happy to help me lift my bags. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful , and happy to chat with me being a solo traveller . They even allowed me to check in early at no extra cost and when it was raining they loaned me an umbrella for whole afternoon evening . This hotel was perfect for just what I needed. I asked for a room at back off street as I’m a light sleeper and the room was super big and nice and beds extra comfy and I slept so well. I’m coming back at end of my trip in two weeks to stay before flying out. Mahalo!

We stayed for four nights. Since it was booked through a travel agency, we didn't have high expectations, but the receptionist and staff were very welcoming. The room was clean and tidy, and the simple breakfast was delicious 😋. A perfect 10/10! 👍 Because it's close to the main road, it's a little noisy at night, but acceptable. There's a large shopping mall about a 10-minute walk away, making dining and shopping very convenient. If you come to Hawaii 🌺, I highly recommend this place. It's great! 👌

Great service, central location.

I was pleasantly surprised by the value offered here. The location, staff, cleanliness, and bar are all A+. Obviously, the low price point is attractive, but could also raise questions. Truthfully, if you're taking your dream vacation to Hawaii and you want a fancy resort, you should pay 2x-3x for one of the big hotels on the water. But for a nice, friendly joint (the front desk is literally a desk with a person sitting behind it), and a comfy bed to sleep in between all your activities, this is the best deal.

Definitely im not recomend this place I had very bad experience. I did a reservation from Expedia and the room is not like the pictures they show. Im glad I get my refund but was a very bad experience.
