We happened into David’s Restaurant upon arriving as tourists. Lots of selection on the menu from casual to fine dining. The blackened chicken salad was bursting with flavor, the clam chowder was just right and delicious, the mussels, house made chips and dips were all show stoppers. It’s a nice casual yet elegant atmosphere and our server was excellent. Definitely would recommend this place to everyone!

David’s Restaurant is a solid Portland spot with a comfortable atmosphere and a menu that has a little something for everyone. The food is consistently good, the service is friendly, and it works well for anything from a casual dinner to a nicer night out downtown. Definitely an easy place to recommend if you’re looking for a dependable meal in Portland.

Not our first time to David’s- it was our 30th Anniversary so it was the perfect place to celebrate. Cozy atmosphere- fabulous staff. Our waiter was Hosh - if he didn’t know the answer to a question he went to find out. The bar tender helped pick the perfect bottle of rose which complimented both our dinners. We started with the Burratta Bruschetta appetizer which was flavorful and delicious- I got the lobster ravioli- my favorite, every piece of seafood was cooked perfectly! My husband got the haddock mashed potatoes- he substituted carrots because he doesn’t like spinach- it was served over a blueberry compote which was amazing. Crème Brûlée and Salted Caramel Tort for dessert. Perfect in every way….

Was perfect! Got us away from the hustle of commercial street. Got a two great cocktails out of the sun. I ordered the duck lunch entree possibly my favorite meal in Portland yet.

We stumbled on this restaurant during our travels. The chef/food were amazing. Tender and tasty meats. The sauces and spices were well thought out to enhance the food flavors. The seared tuna was out of this world! The salads were cool and crisp with fresh ingredients that were flawless. The prime sirloin was “melt in your mouth” quality. The waiter was informative—not only about the menu but about the area giving tips on what not to miss. The dark atmosphere with sound baffles dangling from the ceiling and well lit tables made it feel like it was “just you” there. Phenomenal find and a don’t miss from my perspective.
