Gorgeous accommodations, and if you are in the area for Jazz Fest, you could not ask for a better venue. Less than a four minute walk from the festival location, and plenty of live music happening right in the hotel.

Check your bills! I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled. I visited The inn on Broadways Gios prime for dinner after we went downstairs to the speakeasy called Vanni, with three other people, we spent a lot of money that night and after reviewing the bill later that evening from Vanni, I realized we had been charged for five cocktails when there were only four of us in our party. Mistakes happen, and I expected the issue to be corrected quickly and professionally. Instead, when I contacted management, I was told I needed to fill out a credit card authorization form containing my full credit card number, expiration date, security code, and personal information, then email it back through an unsecured email. I was uncomfortable providing sensitive financial information this way and asked if someone could simply process the refund over the phone, as many hotels routinely take credit card information for reservations and transactions. I was told that was not an option. To make matters worse, I live 30 minutes away, and I was instructed to come back to the property after 5 PM to speak with a manager. I made the trip, only to find that no manager was available, leaving me with no choice but to complete the form anyway. While I was eventually refunded for the overcharged cocktail, there was absolutely no consideration given to the time, gas, inconvenience, or frustration caused by an error that was not mine. The entire burden of correcting the mistake was placed on the customer. Being overcharged is frustrating enough, but requiring a customer to jump through multiple hoops to receive a refund for an employee’s mistake is poor customer service. This business needs to do better. A simple phone call could have resolved the issue in minutes instead of turning it into a lengthy and unnecessary ordeal.

We stayed one night at The Inn on Broadway in late May while on a week long trip and what should have been an easy overnight stay turned into our worst nightmare. Our car was stolen right out of the hotel’s parking lot. The person who stole our car took my handicap placard and my wheelchair, which I rely on daily. Losing those items impacted the rest of our trip and has severely impacted my life over the past few weeks. What made everything worse was the hotel staff’s complete apathy. When we went inside to explain what happened, expecting empathy and assistance, the front desk showed zero concern. No urgency, no empathy, no effort to help. Their dismissive attitude was shocking — especially considering the seriousness of the situation. When filing the police report, the police shared this happens frequently around this hotel. The hotel clearly knows this is a recurring issue, yet they acted like it wasn’t their problem and lack security. I’m sharing this so other travelers — especially those with disabilities — can make an informed decision. What happened to us was terrible, and the hotel’s lack of responsibility or compassion made it even worse.

We recently hosted a family wedding at The Inn on Broadway and we could not be more pleased! The ballroom is truly beautiful and the food was delicious. We were particularly happy with the staff, they were all so attentive and took such good care of our group. Special thank you to Mary, the Event Director, who was a pleasure to work with. Our motto for the weeks leading up to the wedding was “In Mary We Trust,” as she helped us through all the logistics and planning details. Great experience!
