We had a great night here. The staff was very friendly, and the room was very clean and nice. I would definitely stay again.
The location is great, but there is no provided parking. The street parking is fine and safe though. When we arrived at check in our room wasn’t done cleaning. The room we got was literally in the lobby and I could hear when groups were arriving and leaving. The room and hotel are beautiful, however there’s a lot of maintenance that needs to be done. The room was huge, but the decor was lacking. The lights were all different colors, the tv was tiny and old and about 6 feet away from the bed. The bath was cracked and the jets needed to be cleaned. We chose this hotel for a romantic weekend, and having the room be in the lobby was not ideal as I’m sure that they could hear us just as well we could hear them. The biggest negative of the place was that the air conditioner was locked at 70 degrees, meaning we just sweat the whole night. The bed was small and uncomfortable. The curtains did not block the light from the parking lot next door, nor in the morning. Got zero sleep the night we stayed there. Beautiful place, but it was a miss for us at this price point.

This is my second stay at the Sterling. We flew in on Monday night to lobby At the Capitol on Tuesday. Comfortable rooms, so clean, so quiet, so calm. The location was so close to the capital that we could just walk there. We love the bathtub! Old time charm. I felt at home and got a great night sleep
Very easy check in and check out, low effort and good communication. Location and price were great for Capitol visits.
