The Sterling Hotel

Great location and centrally located.

A convenient location to Golden 1 Center where we attended a show. We arrived later than we had planned, however the lovely front desk clerk was still on site. Unfortunately when we went to our room, it had not been cleaned (bed unmade, towels on the floor) however the clerk was very apologetic, and rectified everything for us. I was able to get changed in the second floor bathroom and attend our show, and our room was ready by the time we arrived back at the hotel. The room was cozy, very comfortable bed, and large bathroom. Looking forward to our next stay!

Wonderful customer service

There was a wedding event at 10 pm on a Thursday night that no staff mentioned. The noise was unbelievable. We called 4 times to complain & the call was outsourced to someone in Australia who could do nothing about the situation. We left 4 message complaints and still haven't heard back from ANY hotel staff to rectify the situation. I do not recommend this hotel, there is no staff on site after work hours and no one was able to provide a receipt I needed.

This room is huge! A large beautiful room with a Jacuzzi bathtub. Nice is an understatement.

Got to the place at 3:20pm, had reservations for 2 days. Door was locked and no one was there. Someone outside told us they leave early quite often. Would have had to park at a different location with separate pay. Least of our worries, but still.

It was a last-minute decision to stay here and what a great decision it was, the room was fabulous and the location perfect, would definitely stay here again!!!

I absolutely love staying at the Sterling whenever in the Sacramento area. Love the historic ambience and Victorian decor so much. I definitely recommend.

I had a great stay while being here. the staff is so lovely and nice. Maleiah is wonderful she greeted us so kindly, the room was amazing & I love the downtown area. Lots of places to walk to so it was convenient 🫶🏽 10/10 definitely recommend

Would have been nice to actually check in. Tonight 7pm we called twice to have someone come to the desk to help us to our suite at 300$. It's been two hours waiting for a call back. Two different brittish accent women said a guy needed to be appraised that we needed in and would call us back. Nope. We are now at the econolidge. Real bummer.

Pretty luxurious for a reasonable price. Romantic memories were made here.
