Ginger Rogers Beach is the local nickname for the gay stretch of Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades, on the coast just north of Santa Monica. For decades it has been one of the main gay beaches in Los Angeles, drawing a mostly male crowd to a section of sand near the volleyball nets and the lifeguard tower. It is a regular public beach, so swimwear is required and there are no gay-specific facilities. The crowd is biggest on warm weekend afternoons from spring to autumn. Parking is in paid lots along Pacific Coast Highway, which fill early on hot days; carpooling or arriving before noon helps. Check for PCH closures before driving.

Great beach. Water could be cleaner. People need to stop bringing all their dogs. And they could use some more bathrooms. I’d also go more if I didn’t have to pay to park such an expensive price all the time

Great Life Guard Service! Julian is actually doing a great job at ACTUALLY making sure the swimmers are safe at taking extra preventative action ensuring the swimmers are in good hands. This is my 1st encounter seeing a life guard extremely attentive. Not just when someone is in danger.
