If you want stay in a beautiful, historic inn this is the place to be. The staff are all wonderful, friendly and happy to help. The inn is right on river walk with all of the shops within walking distance and the canal is right across the street. The rooms are gorgeous with comfortable beds and beautiful views. I really can't say enough about how great everyone is and this will be my to go place when I visit again.

I was a little nervous about staying here because it is an old hotel with what looked like tiny rooms. But I am impressed. The friendliness of the staff and amenities matches and exceeds most modern hotels at this price point. And the hotel and rooms have so much character that it hard to appreciate without seeing it in person. The hotel is reminiscent of the 1920s aesthetic and being in a genuinely historic building makes it feel authentic. The rooms themselves look claustrophobic in the pictures, but in person they are comfortably sized and more than adequate. I would recommend paying a few dollars more for the river view. The view is absolutely stunning. It's part of the experience to lay in bed and watch the giant container ships float by. The only problem is the noise. You are basically right on top of the city's party scene right outside your window. A terrible saxophonist sounded like he was practicing lessons all night. This goes on until around 11pm, and afterwards we had no trouble sleeping. As compensation for the noise, you will be able to step out the back door of the hotel right into the center of one of the most iconic locations in the country. Shops, river cruises, restaurants, bars...all just steps away. The only bad part is the restaurant, the Broken Keel, inside the hotel. The food was absolutely terrible. But that will be a separate review.

I only visited for a day but the ocean view was beautiful. Be careful on the cobblestone if you have challenges with balance or any Arthritic issues.

Absolutely the best place to stay in Savannah we try to visit several times a year and will not stay any where but River Street Inn. love the river front view balcony rooms the ceiling fans in the room are the best. the Customer Service is the best from the valets to front desk to cleaning crew. super friendly and very accommodating. recommend 100 percent

Great place to stay. Staff were very courteous and friendly. The historic atmosphere is awesome. Highly recommend.

Over charged me by 300.00 and I WAS a repeat costumer. My advice don't stay here better deals with parking right down the road.

Great hotel with a great location!!! Enjoyed our stay! Valet parked our car for 2 days and never needed it!!!

What a beautiful place! Southern charm, restaurants on site and all around in walking distance. Valet parking is the best as parking is tough around this area. Valet staff top notch as well! The Broken keel restaurant is wonderful with the views and the staff; you can't go wrong! In the evenings you can walk the river walk and take in all the beauty after dinner. It has been a wonderful time staying at this wonderful Inn!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the River Street Inn. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the river view was fantastic. Watching the huge container ships go by was surprisingly fun and one of the highlights of the trip. The room did have a slight musty smell, but considering the age and history of the building, it honestly felt understandable and didn’t take away from the experience. Overall, it was a charming and memorable place to stay right in the middle of everything on River Street.

I was disappointed that the room did not match the description. The hotel staff insisted the bed was a king however it was clearly much smaller and felt like a queen-size bed. I know the difference very well since I have a king bed at home. Honestly I’m now curious what the hotel considers a queen bed because what we received definitely did not feel like a true king-size bed Also the “Historic City View” was extremely misleading. There was essentially no view at all the windows faced walls from a low floor so I was basically looking at a wall from the third floor. What made this even more frustrating is that this was one of the more expensive room options. I would have rather booked the slightly cheaper river view room instead of paying more for a “city view” that did not exist Another issue was the hot water. I was the first one to shower and did not know that the water apparently needs to run for around 10 min before getting warm. I ended up having to shower in cold water while my husband got lucky and had hot water afterward. The location itself was fine but overall the room description and experience did not match what was advertised
