It's difficult for me to simply leave a review of this place, because my story with Le Quatorze began long before I ever set foot inside. For almost ten years, during periods when I felt suffocated, stressed, or simply at my wit's end, I had a rather unusual habit: coming to this neighborhood and sitting for a few minutes in front of Le Quatorze. I couldn't really explain it, but this place has always soothed me. There's a special energy that emanates from it, something profoundly warm and pure. As if this place had a soul. A few minutes there, and I usually left feeling much calmer. Throughout all these years, I always told myself that one day, I'd like to experience this place from the inside with the person I love and tell them all about it. And today, without realizing the full significance it would have for me, my wife surprised me by booking a table here for my birthday. I was moved for practically the entire evening. At times, I even struggled to find the words. It was quite something to finally find myself inside this place I had admired from the outside for so many years, and especially to be there with her. And finally, I understood where part of that warmth came from: the people who bring this place to life. A huge thank you to the owner for her kindness, her thoughtfulness, and her incredibly warm welcome. She took care of us throughout the evening and even had the thoughtful touch of offering us a small dessert for my birthday. ❤️ The meal was magnificent, the setting is equally so, but what I will remember most is what I felt there. Some restaurants leave us with the memory of a good meal. This one will remain for me the memory of a moment in my life. Thank you for this evening. It will remain etched in my memory for a long time. 🤍
