The atmosphere inside the store was great! It was a staff member's birthday, so the place was lively even late at night! Also, if you're going for the first time, it can be hard to find your way around... so be sure to check the map! By the way, I was guided by the guy working as a tout at Galva... "HOME gay bar in Tokyo holds a special place in our heart. The story began when my friend (Aini) had to go to Tokyo first without me. We were supposed to go on the same date, but I had problems with my new passport and it got delayed. Aini felt lonely and I told her to go find a gay bar nearby where she was staying. The next day, Aini told me that she went to this small gay bar called HOME and met some really nice people. She kept coming back to HOME for several other times before I arrived in Tokyo. When I finally arrived in Tokyo, Aini took me to HOME. From the moment my friend (Aini) and I stepped inside, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The service was impeccable, the drinks were delightful, and the karaoke sessions were filled with laughter and camaraderie. But what truly sets HOME apart is the sense of belonging it fosters. In this small bar, my friend and I found more than just a place to unwind; we found friendship. We shared stories, dreams, and unforgettable moments, all against the backdrop of this cozy establishment. I can't express enough gratitude to Take San and Kembo San, the heart and soul behind HOME. Their dedication to creating a welcoming and inclusive space is truly admirable. Their kindness and warmth have touched many lives, including ours, and for that, we are forever grateful. HOME is an amazing bar nestled in a great location in the middle of Shibuya. The only regret was that we didn’t have time to visit again! It was one of the most memorable nights in the city and so much fun. Great energy, fantastic drinks, and the best people. Takejiro, the owner, and his friends were so welcoming and inclusive — we felt like we were regulars at this bar. They made the experience even better. I never do karaoke — but I did that night! Can’t wait to visit again on the next trip to Japan!

Cozy safe space in Shibuya! Came here on my first and last nights in Tokyo and learned so much about the local community and culture and even got some Japanese vocabulary lessons 😂 Take-san is so welcoming and good at introducing patrons to each other. It’s kinda tricky to find as it’s on the third floor of a building with a lot of other bars but look for the flag. Thanks for making me feel at HOME on my first visit to Tokyo!

Fun bar in tokyo, close to Shibuya Station. Owner and bartenders are super nice and made us feel at home. Good drinks, friendly customers, karaoke, and no cover charge. One of our favorite gay bars in tokyo.
