While some guests found the hotel's amenities like the open-air bath and karaoke room to be a positive, a significant number of visitors reported extremely negative experiences with the reception staff, describing their attitude as terrible and their service as disastrous. Noise from the street and nearby clubs was also a recurring issue, impacting guests' ability to sleep.

Über diesen Ort Hotel Lotus Shibuya

Hotel Lotus Shibuya is in Dōgenzaka 2-chōme, the slope west of Shibuya Station known for its cluster of love hotels, and it appears to operate as one, with hourly rest and overnight stay rates. It is a mainstream business, not a gay venue. Some Japanese love hotels turn away same-sex couples, though refusals are less common in central Tokyo than they used to be, so check the policy before you go. It rates only 3.1 across 70 Google reviews. Shibuya Crossing and the station are about five minutes' walk away.

The reception was terrible. As others have said, not only was their attitude bad, but they also charged me a higher price than what was advertised.

The worst hotel experience I've ever had! The blankets and wallpaper smelled awful. I read in reviews that it was in a quiet alley, but in the three nights I stayed, I couldn't sleep a single night. The windows are just thin sheets of wood the size of a piece of paper, so you can hear all the street noise. Three nights filled with drunks shouting and vomiting, breaking glass bottles, and motorcycle races until 6 a.m. The reception staff did the bare minimum to help. Don't be fooled by the photos because you simply can't sleep. Plus, there were bedbugs; I woke up covered in bites. I'm giving it one star because I can't give it zero. A terrible experience.

I stayed with my partner. We checked in around midnight on January 20th, and the woman at the front desk had a terrible attitude. She sighed no matter what we did, interrupted us and replied in a harsh tone no matter what we asked, and ended up throwing our room key, which was very disappointing. There was nothing particularly noteworthy about the room. If I had to say something, the only thing that bothered me was the fact that it was a unit bath, but I guess that's unavoidable considering the location in Shibuya. It was quite disappointing, as other Best Delight hotels have excellent service. Please be careful if you are sensitive when staying at a Best Delight hotel. I will never come again.

I stayed here for a night. The front desk service was disastrous. You should have read the reviews and avoided this misfortune.
