BOOKTEABED SHIBUYA

Like someone mentioned before....make sure to check out BEFORE 10am, otherwise staff will charge anything after 10am, even if you're making your way down after 10am.

I stayed here because I was going out at night to live music venues and clubs, and it was within walking distance of Shibuya Station. The staff were very helpful. There's a cafe space on the first floor. Eating and drinking are prohibited inside the capsules, so you have to eat here. There's a microwave, a kettle, and a water dispenser. The capsules are spacious. It would be perfect if there was a mirror inside the capsule. (So you don't have to go to the bathroom to put on makeup.) There are two shower booths and three toilets on one floor. The shower booths are a bit small. There are no amenities or loungewear provided. The lockers are small, so everyone was leaving their suitcases in front of the lockers. It was nice that there were lots of books to read.

Loved my experience here. Wanted to stay again but they were booked out which is fine!

You get what you paid for. The mattresses could be a little thicker (an understatement). Decent amount of space in the capsule itself. I don’t have a reference point for capsule hotels but this seems like good value for money.

Great capsule hotel. Has the usual amenities for a capsule hotel such as shower, eating area (on the smaller side), and lockers. The locker is right in front of your bed and the front desk will hold on to your luggage on checkout day. Each floor is locked by a pass code as well. Location is pretty close to Shibuya crossing while being far away enough to avoid the noise. There's a rooftop terrace but there's not much to see up there.

Pros: - There was a Korean staff member, so it was very easy to communicate (they seem to work shifts, so they might not be available!). - Shibuya is usually chaotic and overcrowded at night, but the location in a relatively quiet spot was actually a plus. - The room condition, bathroom, and restroom were very clean and nice. The guests on the same floor were also very quiet, making for a comfortable stay. - There is a great Mazesoba restaurant right next door. Cons: - I'm not sure about other floors, but the women's room was just right for my height (early 160cm)... I think it might be a bit cramped for taller people. - The bed isn't hard, but I wouldn't recommend it for people who can't sleep on the floor; my back felt a bit sore. The duvet, however, was cozy. - It is a bit far from Shibuya Station... you have to walk for 10 minutes. It was a bit tiring dragging a suitcase.

It saved my first Japan trip from being a disaster. I initially booked a cheap hostel for my entire 9-day trip and it made me so anxious of my safety and health, no security and the place was dirty. Thankfully I’ve found BookTeaBed, it saved my trip. I was able to relax and feel secured. The price is just worth it. Clean and well kempt bunkbeds, room, toilets, and 24-hr reception, roof top, cafe downstairs, great location - very close to Shibuya crossing, Hachiko statue, and Mega Donki - this is hostel I’ve been to by far. I’d give 10/5 stars if I could. 👍

The value is not too bad and in a great location with a 7-Eleven nearby and a family mart across the road. It is a capsule hotel so you get what you paid for. I stayed for one night and thought it was all right but if you stay a little longer, you might go crazy. But the location is the best.

The experience was OK until I did my check out and a lady came and charged me xtra saying I was late check out , I left the room on time and I used the common bathroom for 5 mins , I felt scammed, so I’m not recommending go there if you have another options.
