Motel One Berlin-Ku'Damm

The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained. The S-Bahn (suburban train) station was right next door, which was very convenient for getting around quickly. The downside was that you couldn't open the window at any time because a train roared past every two minutes, which was very loud. Otherwise, it's a very lively area with lots of shops and restaurants.

Our stay at this supposedly 5-star hotel was unfortunately a huge disappointment. The service fell far short of the standard one would expect in this category. Ordered drinks simply weren't served, and when we inquired, no one seemed to take responsibility. What was particularly unpleasant was that we were denied access to the bar – even though we were hotel guests. Overall, the staff seemed arrogant and showed little interest in the guests' well-being. At check-out, no one even asked about our stay or showed any interest in us. This is definitely not what appreciation and hospitality look like. It's a real shame, because one expects professionalism and high-quality service from a 5-star establishment.

We didn't stay overnight here, but we were given the tip to go to the rooftop bar, and it was well worth it. Nice and quiet, delicious drinks, and a fantastic view of the Ku’damm and the Gedächtniskirche.

The location is fantastic, perfect for a private or business trip! It's very quiet; I felt like I could barely hear any outside noise! Unfortunately, there's no refrigerator, but there's plenty of parking in the adjacent Zoo parking garage.

I wanted to check in today at 8:15 pm after a long workday at the Reichstag, until I encountered this incompetent and disgusting person at reception. I handed her my ID and Amex, and despite her defiant manner, she couldn't find me in the system. After 15 minutes and repeated questions, I became direct, and the woman told me she wouldn't let me check in because I was aggressive. She then threatened to call the police when I called her incompetent. It would be very nice to put this woman back in a position where such things don't happen again. Termination or hiring cleaning staff would be great measures.

Cool hotel, everything is great.
