On Kantstraße, this 250-room Motel One gives LGBTQ+ travelers a simple, affordable spot to land in Berlin. It’s one of eight Motel One hotels in the city, all with the same contemporary design and low prices.
The place opened in 2007, and it’s still very much a no-frills setup. You won’t find anything fancy, but you will find a clean room at a good price. It’s for people who’d rather spend their money on Berlin itself than on a hotel.
Its location is a big draw, especially if you’re here for gay Schöneberg’s bars and social scene, which is right nearby. You’re also close to big shopping spots like KaDeWe and Bikini Berlin. Tiergarten, the city’s huge park, is easy to get to from here too, if you need a green escape.
Rooms are clean and functional, with modern furniture, just like you’d expect from a Motel One. The whole hotel is smoke-free. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it’s a reliable, practical stay with good transport links to the gay scene and other city attractions.

I'm currently staying at the motel on Kurfürstendamm. The rooms are clean, and the service is fine. The only thing that bothers us as a group is that there isn't a single bottle of water in any of our four rooms.
Once again, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. You really feel welcome as a guest. The location was perfect for my business trip. Off the train, straight into the hotel. Everything was within walking distance. The rooms at the back are very quiet and relaxing. Everything was spotlessly clean. What could be improved: Some of the carpets in the lobby definitely need replacing. The pictures in the rooms are very vibrant, which is a matter of taste. For a restful sleep, I prefer softer images.
Located near the Zoo train station, very centrally situated next to the Theater des Westens. Very clean, quiet, with shared duvets, and very friendly staff. Breakfast costs €17.50 and is plentiful, although the variety has decreased in the last two years. The excellent bread rolls are particularly recommended. The bar is open 24 hours a day, and there are also lounge areas outside. The underground parking garage is public; the daily rate is approximately €25 if booked through the hotel. Charging stations are available. Verdict: Highly recommended!
The location is great. But that's about it. Room service skipped our room, why? We'd like to know that too. They couldn't give us an answer when we asked. There were dirty towels in the bathroom when we checked in. The rooms are tiny. The double room has an armchair where the second person is supposed to sit?! Good question.
Top hotel in a very good location.
