Hotel Mutterhaus Düsseldorf

A truly beautifully situated and unusual hotel. It feels like driving towards an old boarding school or college, surrounded by mature trees and meadows, yet very close to the city center. A very friendly welcome. Definitely recommended!

Very clean and extremely friendly staff. The building is historic and surrounded by mature trees. There is no air conditioning, and the rooms are very noisy. Breakfast caters to all dietary needs.

Quiet location, indeed. It's just a shame that there are so many parties on weekends, making sleep impossible. This should be mentioned on the website so other guests can plan ahead and stay home. The TV is as small as a computer monitor and is tucked away in the back corner, making it difficult to see anything. Unfortunately, the windows can only be fully opened or fully closed; the skylights don't work. All in all, a complete disappointment. Definitely not again.

We only stayed one night at the hotel to have a short commute to the airport. We enjoyed it so much that we'll definitely come back for a weekend.

Das Mutterhaus Düsseldorf Beautiful historic building, but the overly warm attic room, just under the roof, was a huge disappointment. The air was extremely dry and dusty, making it difficult to sleep and waking up with a sore throat and cough. For the total price of approximately €228 (room €215 + €10 parking + €3 tourist tax), you'd expect much more comfort and healthy air. Pros: location, friendly staff. Cons: overly warm attic room, poor ventilation, dry/dusty smell, and a far below-average price-quality ratio. I wouldn't book here again.
