Centralino in der Via della Basilica 3 im Quadrilatero Romano ist Turins etablierteste Gay-Bar – ein verlässlicher, gut geführter Ort, der seit über einem Jahrzehnt das Herzstück der schwulen Szene der Stadt bildet. Der Quadrilatero Romano ist eines der charaktervollsten Viertel Turins: das antike römische Straßenraster im Herzen der Stadt, das heute voller unabhängiger Restaurants, Weinbars und Craft-Cocktail-Bars ist. Centralino fügt sich nahtlos in diese Umgebung ein. Die Bar ist intim – mit Platz für vielleicht 60 Personen bei voller Kapazität – und ihr Inneres wirkt gelebt und authentisch lokal, anstatt für Instagram gestaltet zu sein. Das Aperitivo-Angebot läuft von 18:00 bis 21:00 Uhr mit einem kostenlosen Buffet, das zu den besseren Bar-Aperitivo-Angeboten Turins zählt. Nach 22:00 Uhr verlagert sich der Fokus auf Cocktails und die Menge verdichtet sich mit einer Mischung aus schwulen Männern, queeren Frauen und heterosexuellen Freunden. Gelegentliche DJ-Sets am Donnerstag- und Samstagabend. Die Bar ist täglich geöffnet und dient als Orientierungspunkt für LGBTQ+-Besucher in Turin am ersten Abend. Das Personal ist gut informiert über die aktuelle Szene und kommende Veranstaltungen.

Last Saturday there was a blackout that lasted a long time and they wouldn't let anyone out. There were people crowding at the cash registers to pay but they weren't working and everyone didn't care. In fact, if you wanted to leave you had to pay in cash and you could leave.

Around 2:30 the power went out, and they didn't let the minors out through the main exit. They forced them to crowd towards the cash registers, blaming them for crowding in when they simply wanted to leave the venue. They forced them to queue for 20 minutes to get to the cash registers, many of them just to avoid paying, taking a ticket to leave and then leaving. Personally, as a girl, it was terrible to be left with the lights off, unable to go out, with 40 kids around them pushing to get out and pay.
