Centralino at Via della Basilica 3 in the Quadrilatero Romano is Turin's most established gay bar — a reliable, well-run venue that has served as the anchor of the city's gay social scene for well over a decade. The Quadrilatero Romano is one of Turin's most characterful neighbourhoods: the ancient Roman grid at the heart of the city, now packed with independent restaurants, wine bars and craft cocktail spots. Centralino fits naturally into this environment. The bar is intimate — room for perhaps 60 people at full capacity — with an interior that feels lived-in and genuinely local rather than designed for Instagram. The aperitivo spread runs 18:00–21:00 with a free buffet that is one of Turin's better bar-aperitivo offerings. After 22:00 the focus shifts to cocktails and the crowd thickens with a mix of gay men, queer women and straight friends. Occasional DJ sets on Thursday and Saturday evenings. The bar is open daily and serves as a first-night orientation point for LGBTQ+ visitors to Turin. Staff are knowledgeable about the current scene and forthcoming events.
