Gayola Bar

An unusual bar, renovated in a former brothel, with a nice, warm, and cozy decor that perfectly reflects the building's character. Live entertainment starts at 10 pm. A variety of cocktails at reasonable prices. The bar is located on the second floor of the building, on Pink Street, with no terrace. I recommend booking a room at the hotel on the floor directly above!

Had a horrible experience here. They are racist against brown people and the bouncers and it seems based on previous reviews ownership has directed security to take this approach. After spending a good amount of time and money at the club with family I was aggressively taken outside and beaten up and assaulted on the other side of the road. No one should go here as they are aggressive or racist.

I love this pub and now hotel too! It's so much fun and has a really cool atmosphere. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. A must-visit if you go to Lisbon! 🙌❤️

My friends were RACIALLY ATTACKED and SEVERELY BEATEN UP BY THE BOUNCERS at this bar- leaving them in hospital. On Friday the 15th of May, with no warning, a bouncer grabbed him by the collar and dragged him out of the bar- at which point, two of the bouncers and three other men began to beat him on the floor. When his wife and sister in law tried to help him, they were repeatedly hit by the five men, their necklaces were ripped off their necks, and their dresses were torn. All three had to go to the hospital for their injuries. We have strong reason to believe that the attack was racially motivated and have been in contact with the police. I am absolutely appalled that this happened in my own city. If you are a foreigner stay away for your own safety, and if you are Portuguese like me, I urge you to boycott this institution. Unacceptable, illegal, and disgusting.

My husband was racially attacked at the venue. The bouncers beat him up and broke his nose and his finger. Please do not go to this venue. It is really not worth it.
