What reviewers say
Visitors praise Gayola Bar for its unique atmosphere, friendly staff, and good drinks, with many enjoying the establishment's historical character and lively vibe. However, several reviews report serious and disturbing incidents of racial discrimination and physical assault by bouncers, which contradict other accounts of a welcoming environment. Some also mention high prices and less expertly crafted cocktails.

About this place Gayola Bar
Gayola is listed as a bar on Rua da Imprensa Nacional, at the edge of Príncipe Real, the Lisbon neighbourhood with the city's main cluster of gay bars. It is open every evening from 17:00, until 03:00 or 04:00 from Thursday to Saturday. The listing marks it as gay-friendly, and older text describes a quiet bar for drinks and conversation rather than a dance venue.
The Google data (more than 6,000 reviews) is unusually large for a small bar and may belong to another business at or near this address. Confirm what you will find before going. Other Príncipe Real bars are within a few minutes' walk.
