About this place BAR SIDE

Side Bar is a small gay bar on Rua da Barroca, one of the Bairro Alto lanes where several of Lisbon's queer bars sit close together. It's a drinks-and-conversation place, not a dance venue, and most people use it as a first or middle stop on a night that moves between bars. It opens at 18:00 every day and closes at 02:00, or 03:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Bairro Alto gets crowded after about 23:00 at weekends, and a lot of the drinking spills out onto the street.
