Quiet, nice, exclusive feeling

This is a very hard review for me to write as I often refrain from doing such things. The rooms are small but comfortable, the bed is fantastic and location could not be better. However, the service falls short from 5*. There were days our room was not serviced, it was never turned down at night and for the last 3 days of our visit the water in the minibar was not restocked. Also, the breakfast is lacking (being next to salumhall helped in that front). That being said, I would stay at Villa Dagmar again if I were looking at it as a place to sleep as opposed to a luxury hotel. The front office staff is very polite and friendly.

Very successful stay. Everything from the staff to the environment. The breakfast was extremely good. The cardamom buns were among the best we have eaten. Lunch and dinner were great with friendly, helpful staff. The room was not large but well planned and quiet. Comfortable beds and a good sized bathroom. Also appreciated the steam sauna which I enjoyed on several occasions. Even though there are 70 rooms, the feeling is that it is a smaller hotel which I really appreciate. Of course a plus that Villa Dagmar is dog friendly. The location could not be much better in Stockholm. We are super satisfied and will of course come back.

Now a good hotel with a way more interesting history. During WW2, it was called "Büro Wagner", the German ABWEHR HQ in Stockholm.

Good location. Friendly staff. Nice room. Wonderful bed + pillows. Large bathroom. Good shower + bathtub. Slow WiFi. We liked the breakfast. Most things had to be ordered a la carte, which is both good and bad. Fresh, but sometimes a long wait. They also forgot one of our orders. The breakfast seems to be popular even for those who are not guests at the hotel. Therefore, there can be a bit of a queue at the buffet and a bit noisy. We left full and exhausted.

What an absolute amazing hotel, Rooms - Excellent quality and space for a city hotel and the only downside is light switches need to be reprogrammed 216. Spa - We loved it, quaint, clean and we also had room service down there too. Food - I believe the food here is exceptional and especially since they have the top chef from Soho house. Every member of staff, so friendly and quick to sort and all have a personality, Thank you - we will see you in the summer!

After my initial disappointment regarding my stay at Villa Dagmar on December 27th, I want to update my review. Following my feedback, the hotel management reached out and handled the situation in a professional and generous manner. The matter was resolved appropriately, and I truly appreciate that they took my concerns seriously. While the original experience did not meet expectations associated with an American Express Platinum booking, I value how the team responded afterward. Accountability and willingness to correct mistakes speak volumes about a hotel’s standards. Thank you for addressing the issue. This gesture has restored my confidence.

Had been looking forward to a booked brunch but was terribly disappointed! A rude waiter said that the a’ la carte menu was their interpretation of brunch so no buffet! We pointed out to another (also rude) waiter that we were disappointed because we expected brunch but got lunch dishes instead! He grinned and said that there were many who misunderstood this! Why don't you change the reservation then, it's not brunch??? No compensation and for me and my party no more visits!
