Play Hostel Arcos

Horrendous hostel. They have sister hostels that don’t make you get destroyed by mosquitos and will give you towels when you stay with them!

We stayed in a single room, obviously nothing like the photo, the TV didn't work, the pillows were useless, we were freezing, the windows didn't close properly, I really won't be going back, the only positive thing I can say is that the staff were very helpful.

The kitchen could be better and have longer hours.

I saw it but didn't book. It's a simple hostel and seems to have monthly guests. However, the receptionist was very friendly.

Excellent service from all the staff. We were a group of 43 people visiting the Book Fair, and they were truly efficient. Excellent value for money. The location is superb. We would definitely return. Thank you to Carla for her attention, Pablo for all the arrangements, and all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

I'm sorry to leave this review. The location is great, and the facilities are very nice too. But from the moment we entered the hostel, it smelled awful, dirty. In our room, the sheets were dirty, with hair, stains, and a bad smell, as were the towels. We slept in a double room on the first floor, which is quite noisy because of the street.

Christmas

I don't recommend it. The room we were given was quite unpleasant; the sheets had hair on them, the pillows were made of paper, and the mattress was dirty. There were bedbugs. The bathroom was tiny and old. We booked two nights but ended up leaving after the first.

The experience wasn't very good. The pillows were as thin as paper. When the person in the next room showered, it sounded like they were inside our room. In the common area next to our room, at 2 a.m., people would start singing or talking, and we could hear everything. Besides, my watch fell between the bed and the wall. I noticed it after 5 hours. I contacted them, and they said they would ask the cleaning staff. When they didn't answer, I wrote again that night, and they said no. I asked them to check the room, and they said they would, but they never replied. The next day, I asked again, and I had to explain everything again. They said they would check, but they never answered. I wrote again—two days had passed—and obviously, I explained again, and they said no.

The hostel itself has good facilities in a classic building, no doubt, even though they don't serve breakfast. The room I stayed in was nicely decorated and satisfactorily clean. However, the owner seemed like a narcissistic and arrogant guy, with a closed face who doesn't cater to anyone, or if he does, only to those who benefit him. Furthermore, most of the other guests there behaved in a closed and antisocial way, as if it were a mental institution. I've realized that these "alternative" places, like those in the Palermo neighborhood, aren't psychologically healthy. I prefer downtown Buenos Aires.

The hostel is very nice, the rooms are spacious and clean, it's in a good location, the staff are very friendly and provide excellent service. I'm from Neuquén, and I recommend it.
