Was Rezensenten sagen

We have stayed here before and loved it. This time was different. Our room, a poolside bungalow, smelled like sewage. The manager stopped by and agreed. They did offer to move us to another room. We declined this after having unpacked our bags. We were told we would receive some form of compensation upon checkout. We did not. That is my frustration. Also, one of the staff, a male possibly name Josh, seemed to have an attitude while replacing our glass champagne bottle with a plastic substitute. We were unaware glass was not allowed poolside but the attitude was not necessary.

Hotel Saint Cecilia is a must stay! The hotel is in a perfect location on S. Congress - plenty of of shopping and restaurants to walk to. The hotel itself is exceptional- from the rooms to the grounds, and especially the staff! So nice and accommodating and really make the stay stress free. We had a lovely bungalow suite by the pool. The food and bar had fantastic food and cocktails. I will only stay at this hotel anytime am able to visit Austin!

The positives: the staff, the private ambience for drinks Not positive: the very basics of any decent hotel room were not present. The mattress was the 2nd worst I have ever slept on, it felt like it had been turned upside down and had NO cushion, just box springs. There were no blackout curtains, just a sheer American flag with the outdoor lights shining through all night and the sunrise in the morning - like a frat house room. Last nail in the coffin of any hope of a good nights sleep, was the loud walking / stomping of people above. I’m sure they were just walking in their own room, but it echoed through our room ensuring we woke up when the upstairs did and definitely not getting back to sleep. The only thing funnier than the room also missing a TV remote and the replacement not working, was the price tag they ask you to pay. Considering all of the above, the room should be $99, not close to $1000. An insult added to injury (from the terrible bed) PSA: Don’t book suite 5.

We had a lovely stay and were truly impressed by the beautiful grounds, lush landscaping, and peaceful atmosphere. We’re big fans of design-forward boutique hotels like Chateau Marmont and The Bowery, so we were excited for a similarly curated experience here — and the aesthetic and ambiance absolutely delivered. Charming touches like the in-room record player and thoughtful interiors made the property feel special. There were a few service and comfort details, however, that didn’t fully align with the premium experience we anticipated: no luggage assistance during arrival or departure, poolside service wasn’t available, and amenities like the mini-fridge and toiletries weren’t consistently replenished. Small things like parking logistics and some wear on the interior pool flooring were also noticeable considering the luxury price point. None of these were major issues on their own — and we still left feeling relaxed and grateful for such a unique retreat. With a bit more attention to operational consistency, the experience would fully match the beauty and creativity of the property. We look forward to returning on a future visit.

This hotel is classified as a five star hotel on it's Google profile. But there are several things about the property, rooms, and staff that don't match five star standards. Our room had practically non-existent lighting. It was terribly dim in both the living room and the bathroom. The only way to get light (during the day) is to open the shades, in which case there is no privacy. (This is a one-story hotel so people are just walking by your room with the windows open). The room lacked basic comforts like a coffee machine, full-length mirror, and an iron / ironing board. When we requested an ironing board, the staff struggled to source one and they did not deliver one for more than 24 hours. My husband could not iron his shirt before we went out to dinner. They don't serve room service until 7am, and there is no coffee in the room. So if you need coffee before 7am, you're in trouble. Housekeeping was okay but did not replenish shampoo / conditioner / body wash. Pool was not clean. Overall, a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience for what amounted to $900 per night.

What a pleasant surprise to find solitude in the midst of a big city. Great accommodations, friendly staff and great bargain. Stopped in Austin on a whim and reserved rooms for the Thanksgiving holiday!!

Nice little gem, tucked away yet close to many shops/restaurants. My first time here. Clean, staff were great/helpful. Room was spacious/charming. Did not use pool but it is charming. Grounds are meticulously kept. Would absolutely stay here again. (Ryan, Sasha, Hannah and another women (sorry, I can't recall the name), were delightful.)

This hotel is really special. We’ve never had a bad stay and I’m never ready to leave. It’s one of those rare hotels that feel like home but better. The staff is perfectly friendly, nothing over the top but always pleasant and the rooms are wonderfully maintained. The surrounding property is beautiful and private. One reason we love staying here is that, unlike other hotels, we never feel bothered by other guests or staff. Staff is there when we need them but otherwise it feels like our own private oasis. The parking is easy, limited spots but never had an issue and the staff does what they can to make it seamless.
