Das Loren Hotel Austin

We stayed at the The Loren hotel for two nights to celebrate my birthday, and we absolutely loved our experience. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff welcomed us warmly and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. The service across the entire hotel was exceptional. every staff member we encountered was attentive, friendly and professional. The hotel is in a very good location and is absolutely stunning. The modern design of both the property and the rooms is absolutely beautiful. Truly a “Wow !” experience. Our room on the 6th floor had breathtaking views and featured a king size bed, sofa, beautiful long glass desk and really nice chair, to name a few. Very beautiful, large bathroom with a big shower and a soaking tub and luxurious scented bath products provided in the room. In-room coffee machine and nice mini bar was a delight. The rooms are very quiet, we couldn’t hear any noise from outside or from other rooms and once we closed the electronic blackout curtains, the room became completely dark. perfect for a restful sleep. And in the morning, the amazing Lady-Bird river view is revealing from the bed, by clicking a bedside button to open the electric blinds. The rooftop restaurant, bar, and pool area were fantastic. Dinner at the restaurant was outstanding, with an excellent menu, delicious cocktails and a very impressive wine list. We also enjoyed lunch by the pool, which was equally enjoyable. Overall, we did not have a single negative experience during our stay. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we’re already looking forward to returning in the near future and introducing our kids to this beautiful, fun city and of course this hotel. Oh, and the ART. It’s all about the art that is all in and around the hotel. They acquired a beautiful art collection for their guest to enjoy. Good job! Thank you to the entire team for making our getaway stay so special.

My TV did not work. Absolute BS considering I paid a $45 "resort fee" per day despite not being able to use the most basic amenity

Update: when management doesn't follow up on negative reviews within SIX months, it just further confirms how little they care about negative experiences. ------- We did not have a great stay here. 5 night stay... expected much better. We get a much better experience at other high-end hotels in downtown (Austin Proper, Zaza, Thompson, Fairmont, van Zandt. Etc). 1. VERY LOUD STREET NOISE. 2nd floor city view? No views, just a busy road with traffic. Looks like half the rooms (city view) face street traffic, so be warned if noise bothers you (sirens, cars with loud exhaust and a train that goes by every hour or 2 honking its loud horn all night). 2. Broken AC. Called front desk around 9.30pm after returning from dinner. They said they would send someone. I asked would it be long. They said no, only a few minutes. 20 to 25 minutes later, I called to ask again. They said let me check, and then said another 5 to 10 minutes. We waited to shower and get ready for bed. I spoke to front desk and said forget it as we had an early morning. 3. After a bad night of sleep due to being quite warm, complained again in morning. Asked to move rooms. He said would it cost $75 a night extra to UPGRADE!. He said there was nothing else available in our catagory. I said no, this is what the company budget allows for. I said just fix the AC. Fyi. I checked online and our type of room was available to book directly. 4. Stayed out 2 hours, as they were sending staff to fix. Then asked the same front desk person if it was fixed. He said he hasn't heard back, so usually means its taken care of. I asked what was wrong, if anything. The young lady beside him at the desk called and then found out they never took care of it!!! Repair staff told them there was a lady on FaceTime in room, so they left. What??? Now im worried as my wife or me was not in the room at all. 5. So they sent maintenence again, and nice guys said THEY NEVER SAID that to front desk. What is going? But they eventually resolved the AC issue by fixing the pump. Worked fine after. Polite workers admitted hotel staff has communication issues. 🤷🏽‍♂️ But in the end...looks things break. Mistakes happen. BUT for all the staff to never give a care about our experiences after all the mess ups is WRONG. We also spent good money at their coffee shop and upstairs restaurant too (good experience). We didnt sleep well and for them to ask for more.money to change rooms was WRONG. The guy just had a bit of arrogance to him and didn't care about us. At least another front desk person sent us up a half bottle of bubbly worth $10 to $15, as she felt bad for us. But really? That makes up for a whole night of bad sleep? We had a small ceiling leak issue at the Austin Proper 2 months ago. Management immediately upgraded us for the week. They comped us some food and sent a full bottle of wine. You can tell the difference In customer service... putting our needs 1st. Upon check out, another front desk person asked about our experience, and again we just said it wasn't good due to above. Staff didn’t care. Why even ask? I waited for a few days to see if management might reach out, but nothing. So no choice to leave this honest review. Be better Loren Hotel. Care about your customers and their experience. Good: nice art, restaurant, free electric bike to use, upstairs restaurant 2. Lots of road noise in city facing rooms, no vibe at pool, bad customer service. Location is better and more happening across the bridge.

The Loren Hotel Austin is an absolutely stunning place to stay. From the moment you arrive, the level of service is exceptional and every single member of staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and well taken care of. The rooms are beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable and the views are breathtaking. The rooftop bar is a highlight all on its own. If you are looking for a truly special hotel experience in Austin, The Loren is simply in a class of its own.

Outstanding week at the Loren! Great staff - shout out to Sebastian and the breakfast team at Nico restaurant, the room service team, the cafe team, and Dylan and the valet team - made our stay exceptional. And of course our room looked new every day. Thanks!

Great getaway..lovely hotel

Big disappointment! Probably the worst hotel we’ve stayed at in the last 5 years. When ear plugs and a sound machine are needed—- that’s a problem. We had a note in our room telling us we could request these. We definitely got everything for our second night. We requested extra items at the front desk. Two hours later, items still hadn’t been placed in the room. We had to call again. The air conditioning is set to eco-saver mode and we couldn’t over ride it. Our room never cooled to our desire temperature. Front desk tried to tell us it wasn’t that hot and they could send us a fan. We disagreed.— it was 85 degrees when we were visiting. The lobby and cafe were always very cool. Apparently those areas aren’t on eco-saver mode. If you try this hotel, do not let them put you on the street side. Big mistake on our part. We felt like it was a place trying hard to be fancy but missed the mark—- BIG TIME.

The location is ideal, the suites with private balconies are amazing and have beautiful views (see the included photo), the cuisine and staff at Nido leave nothing to be desired, and the spa is quite nice and very conveniently located. Exceptional in every aspect.
