Das Finnley Hotel

The fridge handle was broken and just placed on the door. The bathroom exhaust fan did not work. The garbage can could be bigger. Other than those few flaws, the stay was amazing. Love the hotel and vibe. Very clean and cozy. The bed was amazing and the pillows were like clouds. The record player was a nice touch. Love the location and the city. Thanks again

A great overall experience-would stay again without hesitation! comfortable king bed, very clean, fun decor, close to everything. Parking not included, garage was $48 <24 hour - expensive but worth the convenience as we were pressed for time. No street noise, but voices, movement etc from room above was audible.

5 room basement hotel that is totally booked, check in/out with your phone, and located in "downtown" grand rapids literally. Its an experience you dont want to miss, will not be disappointed, and you will be in awe when you enter your room. Its my new favorite hotel neck to neck with the Amway Grand Plaza when im staying in GR!

With digital entry I didn’t interact with a single soul from the hotel. That can be good or bad because sometimes you do want to see people. It made my stay feel a little colder without being greeted by someone. Great location and is within walking distance of entertainment and food galore. Only drawback of the room I can think of is the lack of a microwave. Other than that it was a good stay.

The room was fine. My only complaint was that it took about 10 minutes for the shower to heat up. This was not a show stopper. The person I spoke to on the phone was kind to help me navigate getting into our room. We only stayed here one night. The late check out price is a little steep at $25 a hour. Bed was comfy and the decor was nice. Would consider staying here again when visiting Geand Rapids.

The room was decorated witty and modern. My partner loved the phonograph and records. The space lacked adequate blankets, trash can and towels. We both woke up each day very congested. Perhaps the heating wall unit needs a filter change. The shower didn’t have any space for toiletries as it appeared the wall ‘shelf’ had been broken, removed and not replaced. The screws and bolts were still intact. Despite the incredible location, we will choose a different venue for our next stay.

We needed a room for a concert and this was way beyond our expectations. Super clean, easy access, the location was phenomenal for walking to venue, shops and food. The record player and vinyl records were a bonus and so much fun to show my daughter!!

The Finnley is an adorable hotel that was great for our anniversary trip to Grand Rapids. I loved the “vibes”, as the entire space was very artistic and moody. From the vinyls to the art selections to the city location, I felt like everything was intentionally built for an enjoyable experience. There were a (very) few items that could use maintenance (a loose bag hook on the wall, for example), but overall the room was clean and appeared well taken care of. The surrounding plumbing was a bit noisy when others in the building were showering, but a little white noise (sound machine provided!) covered it well. All in all, this made for a great couples getaway for my husband and I. Given the opportunity, I would love to stay at The Finnley again!

10/10 perfect stay. Spotless, comfortable mattress, beautiful bathroom, water bottles and charging ports on side of bed. We had a minor issue of late check in and code did not work at 2:30am. Host responded within 5 minutes at 2:30. Impressed by host and room. Would stay again and recommend to anyone going to Grand Rapids.

My door pin code was wrong but they fixed it within 5 minutes of arrival. Clean, located within walking distance of everything.

Great room, modernly appointed, with comfortable bed and towels. Thermostat only went up to 68, so was a little chilly in the basement in late October. Coffee maker was hit or miss, but good when it worked (might have been user error). Entry was easy using door codes. 8/10 would book again!
