The former Hilton Caracas, nationalized in 2010 and rebranded as Hotel Alba Caracas under the state tourism corporation. Located in the Parque Central complex near the city center, it remains one of the most recognizable accommodation addresses in Caracas and one of the few larger hotels still operating with some regularity. Service standards have changed significantly from the Hilton era, and visitors should adjust expectations accordingly, but the central location, basic security infrastructure, and formal hotel status make it one of the more practical choices for international visitors in the current environment. The surrounding Parque Central area includes the Museo de Bellas Artes and the Teresa Carre?o cultural complex.
