Queer Book Club: Having Spent Life Seeking by Kae Tempest
Sobre el evento
In September join us for Queer Book Club as we read Kae Tempest's Having Spent Life Seeking, which Dua picked as a Service95 monthly read in June.
Rothko is fresh from prison back in their hometown, after 15 years away and the past is accelerating towards them. Last time round, the chaos was too much - they sank beneath its waves. But can this time be different? This is a look at family and forgiveness, redemption and atonement, selfhood and community. It'll break your heart but build your soul.
Kae Tempest is a British poet, playwright and author of fiction and non-fiction. He has recorded six studio albums and has won the prestigious Ivor Novello prize for songwriting.
Join us for an evening of conversation, community and a glass of something good in the bookshop. This is a space centring queer readers and FLINTA+ voices — whether you're new or a regular, you're warmly invited.
Your ticket includes:
