Queer LitFest, Chennai

The Queer LitFest, Chennai (QLF), also known as Chennai Queer LitFest, is India's first literary festival dedicated to LGBTQIA+ literature. Established in July 2018 by Queer Chennai Chronicles (QCC), the festival aims to bridge the gap between queer literary spaces and the mainstream literary world. It focuses on LGBTQIA+ writings, poetry, and art in Tamil, English, and other Indian languages, providing a platform for writers, translators, and artists to share their work and engage in discussions.

The festival has historically been organized annually, with past editions held in July or September. While it has featured physical events in its initial years, it has also adapted to virtual formats during the pandemic. The main venue has often been the Kavikko Convention Centre, though this may vary for future editions.
