Hotel Housei
Visitors praise Hotel Housei for its good service, clean rooms with private baths, and excellent hot springs. Some guests also appreciate the dog-friendly amenities and helpful staff. However, a recurring complaint is the potential for noise disturbances from other guests, particularly families with children, which can impact the peacefulness of the stay.

Good ryokan with a private bath and very good service. Includes transfers to the monkey park and train station. Only issue was the dis-respective family in the room next door. I suggest the hotel position solo travellers away from rude, noisy families with kids who clearly have not been brought up with respect. Don’t expect a peaceful stay.
We stayed here with our two dogs during Golden Week. The hotel is clean and the hot springs are fantastic. All the dishes were delicious, and they have a room service option, which is great for those traveling with dogs. The staff were very helpful and the hotel is very dog-friendly✨ I especially liked the young woman at the front desk✨ It's conveniently located within walking distance of the Yudanaka Shibu Onsen area, and although it was only a one-night stay, we had a very fulfilling and relaxing time.
This was my first time staying here as part of a tour package. I was very happy with the room that had a private bathroom. Dinner was served in our room and had a great variety of dishes; it was excellent value for money.
This hotel offers a good value and a sense of history. 🏨 If you arrive by car, you can leave your keys with the staff in front of the hotel and they will move your car for you. 🚗 They will also guide you if you prefer to drive yourself. However, the roads are narrow. On days with bad weather, your car may be covered in leaves when you return. Please consider this the price you pay for a low-priced hotel. The hotel's hot spring bath is available until 9 AM, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing morning bath. ♨️ While the guest rooms feel a little dated, they are perfectly adequate for a place to sleep. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, although the quality of the food can vary, ensuring you'll have a hearty breakfast. This is a good hotel for those who prioritize cost performance. This is a cost-effective inn. The hot springs are available until 9 AM.♨️ The guest rooms feel a little dated, but are perfectly adequate for just sleeping. The breakfast buffet is hit or miss; there's a wide variety of dishes, and you can definitely fill up in the morning. This is a good inn for those who prioritize cost performance.
I searched for a hot spring inn that allows pets. Apparently, the parking is usually in a different location, but Since it was just me and my pet, I wanted to leave my pet in the car while I went to the bath, and I'm grateful that they kindly allowed me to park in front of the hotel.
I visited for the first time on a solo trip with Hankyu Travel's 2-night, 3-day Yudanaka Onsen & Kamikochi 3-hour package. The room was Showa era style, but it was very clean. The mattress on the futon was great 👌 The bath was nice, with both a lukewarm indoor bath and a hotter outdoor bath to enjoy 👌 The view from the open-air bath was also charming and good 👌 Dinner was served in the room, which was very thoughtful 🍚 And it was very generous portions 💯 I finished it all, but those with smaller appetites might only be able to eat about half 🤣 The taste was on par with a high-class restaurant, and it was really good 😍 The food made up for the Showa era room 🩷 The staff were also very friendly, so overall I'd give it a 4 or higher ㊗️ Breakfast is a buffet. Personally, I would have been satisfied with just onsen eggs, natto, seaweed, rice, and miso soup 👌 Thank you If you stay at Toyose, I highly recommend ordering dinner. The portions were huge and the food was delicious, so I didn't have time for a late-night snack! 😂🤣 It's quite a difficult place to get to from Tokyo on your own, so I'd like to join a Hankyu Travel tour again. The optional shuttle service to the monkey mountain for 500 yen was also great! 👌 I'll come again next year! 😘 Thank you!
