The hotel is a 5 minutes walk from the Sakae Station so the location is convenient. I and my friend love the style of the room although it is not very big. The price of this hotel is affordable. I may choose this hotel again. 2025.06

I booked a room through their official website for 12,000 yen for two nights, which was incredibly cheap! The room was also bigger than most hotels, which was fantastic!

I used this hotel during a business trip to Nagoya. The location was absolutely fantastic, and I had a very comfortable stay. It was even more convenient because the fitness center I'm a member of was located within the building.

Stayed at Best Western Plus Nagoya Sakae and really liked the overall experience. The location is super convenient if you want to explore Sakae — easy walking distance to the station, shopping malls, restaurants, convenience stores, and even the airport bus stop. The hotel itself feels modern and recently renovated, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a calm, polished atmosphere. Breakfast was a nice bonus too, with a simple but satisfying spread to start the day. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything feel smooth and welcoming 😊 Great value for a stay in Nagoya.

This hotel is considered by most travelers to be a "decent, high-value, and thoughtfully designed" accommodation. In layman's terms, its pros and cons are roughly as follows: 👍 The most impressive aspect (the reason for wanting to return): The bed is surprisingly comfortable. This is a major selling point for many guests! The hotel uses Simmons mattresses, and each bed comes with both high and low pillows. For those who are unsure about beds while traveling abroad or have aches and pains from walking, lying down and falling asleep instantly is a thoughtful touch. The space is spacious for a Japanese city center: Compared to the cramped Japanese business hotels, the twin rooms here are very spacious. A 29-inch suitcase can be laid flat on the floor with room to walk around. The bathroom is also large enough, even with a bathtub where you can lie down and soak. Restaurants and shopping are just downstairs: The location is excellent, right in the Sakae shopping district. It's about a 5-6 minute walk to Sakae Station, and Oasis 21 and Osu Shopping Street are within walking distance. The hotel is right next to the famous "Furaibo Tebasaki (fried chicken wings)" restaurant, opposite a convenience store, and near a 24-hour drugstore, so you won't have to worry about late-night snacks or stocking up. The breakfast is excellent: The buffet breakfast on the second floor has received good reviews. Besides standard Western and Japanese dishes, you can also find representative "Nagoya dishes" like red miso stew (dote-ni), and there's a wide variety of condiments and drinks. 👎 Some minor drawbacks (to be prepared before checking in): Central air conditioning cannot be manually adjusted: This has been a point of contention for many. Because it's central air conditioning, you can only adjust the fan speed in the room; you can't switch between cooling and heating manually. If you happen to be there during a seasonal change, the room might feel stuffy or you might not be able to open the windows. Soundproofing is only so-so: If someone is talking loudly or running in the hallway at night, you can hear them quite clearly in the room. If you're extremely sensitive to sleep quality, I recommend bringing earplugs. No on-site parking: This is inconvenient for those planning to rent a car in Nagoya, as they will need to park in the hotel's partnered external parking lot and incur additional parking fees. In summary, this hotel focuses on affordability and practicality. If your trip to Nagoya is primarily about shopping and dining, and you prioritize factors like a comfortable bed, spacious rooms, and convenient transportation, then this is a safe bet. You'd be better off using the money saved to enjoy more chicken wings or Hida beef!
