Sakura Hotel Hatagaya

The hotel overall is very decent for its price range. Quality of the rooms and service is as expected. The outdoor and indoor seating for guests was well appreciated. Very close as well to a subway station. Note, however, that trains going towards Shinjuku and beyond can get very crowded during morning peak hours.

It was great that it was really close to Hatagaya Station, and the hotel staff were kind. The bed mattress was old, so my back hurt a bit.

It feels like a concept hotel aimed at inbound backpackers. It reminded me of the slightly cleaner, better hotels (by backpacker standards) I used to see in Khao San and Pokhara... It's probably just barely acceptable for business use. There are no amenities like razors or combs. The fact that the notices are in English and there's a playroom suggests it's frequented by many foreigners. The biggest disappointment is the extremely weak Wi-Fi, making it practically unusable. The weak shower pressure is also typical of overseas hotels. The location is excellent.

Staff were very friendly, and knowledgeable about how to get to Hiroshima. Very pleasant stay. Wish it were longer.

I liked the friendly vibe, but our room (W1) didn't have much hot water in the shower. It's really hard to shower a kid when the hot water cuts off after about 15 seconds. This happened three mornings in a row. Also don't recommend getting the breakfast -- it's just toast and juice. It's cheaper to buy at convenience store. Location is good. But I can't give a hostel/hotel a good review if it requires taking cold showers.

Very nice place! Customer service was exceptional. They all speak english and they are very friendly. Rooms are cozy and clean. 1 min walking to the station and only two stops to Shinjuku. Tasty restaurants nearby. They also have a cafe/bar downstairs which is very handy.

What an awesome place if its your first time in Japan. Its round the corner from the trains and open 24hrs and the staff are beyond friendly. The rooms were clean and food perfect what a just simply amazing little place.

Not at all spacious especially bathrooms are way too light to even take one step front.
