What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the hotel's friendly staff and excellent location, just a short walk from Hatagaya Station with convenient access to other parts of Tokyo. However, many reviewers note that the rooms are small, the mattresses can be old, and the included breakfast is very basic.

About this place Sakura Hotel Hatagaya

Sakura Hotel Hatagaya is a budget hotel in Shibuya ward, a 2-minute walk from Hatagaya Station on the Keio New Line. It's listed as gay-friendly, which is a plus. The rooms are simple and compact, but you'll get free Wi-Fi and staff who speak English. The location's the real draw: Shinjuku's just 3 minutes away by train, which means Shinjuku Ni-chōme's gay bars are easily accessible - just a short walk from the station. Last trains run around midnight, so if you're planning a late night in Ni-chōme, you'll need to either take a taxi back or stay out until the first train. Reviews are fair, with a 3.9 rating from over 800 people.

I had made a reservation in advance, received my room key, and entered the room only to find someone's cell phone there. I thought it was forgotten, but then I glanced at the table and realized it belonged to another guest who had stayed in the same room on the same day. Luckily, no one was there when I opened the door. Was it a double booking? I wonder what the reservation was for. I was relieved that the room was still available, but I was extremely worried.

The room was very clean and comfortable! The staff were polite and could speak foreign languages! There are many shops nearby, so there's no need to worry even at night. If I have plans nearby again, I would like to stay here again.

Super easy, clean and well located place to stay! It has all you need for a base to explore Tokyo with great access to the Hatagaya Station. Rooms are on the smaller side but we had plenty of space under our bed to store cases and bags. Super friendly staff and would definitely recommend!!

This is an accommodation where you can stay at a reasonable price. It is located right next to Hatagaya Station, and Yoyogi-Uehara Station is also within a short walk. The reception staff were very helpful, and although I didn't use it, there is a hotel cafe. There were other reviews mentioning an odor in the bathroom, but I did not experience that, and both the room and bathroom were clean. Overall, I recommend this accommodation.

Excellent value for the price The surroundings are quiet and there are many McDonald's, 24-hour supermarkets, convenience stores, etc.
