Restaurante Kalui

The restaurant itself is very beautiful, with wooden floors and water features throughout. The staff there were very friendly and welcoming, it was always easy to get their attention and the service was fast. However the food left a bit to be desired, under-seasoned and under loved, and despite signs outside mentioning vegetarian options, there are basically two; the eggplant tempura (very nice) and the Laswa (not so good). The reason I've only given two stars for atmosphere was that there was a lady sat close behind us who was playing candy crush or something on her phone at FULL VOLUME throughout our meal and none of the staff said anything to her about turning the volume down or the fact she was disturbing other customers, which I found strange. This woman was old enough to know how rude she was being and it definitely negatively impacted our experience at the restaurant.

Will definitely give this a 5-star rating! ✨ The service was fantastic, and all the food and drinks were delicious. My youngest absolutely loved the place because it felt like dining in a museum. The only slight hiccup was the Sinigang sa Kaka—it was a no for us simply because we weren't used to the coconut water base. Overall, still a wonderful experience. We will definitely come back

We had family lunch here in April 2026. Fantastic experience, starting from the entrance, when you have to remove your shoes(like at home). And in facts the restaurant is lined with a beautiful shiny wooden floor, inspiring cleanliness and comfort. The menu is quite extensive and difficult to choose among the attractive offering. The waiter, very kind, helped us to choose. We had among the others, tuna kinilaw (excellent), grilled prawns (super fresh), gising gising (Excellent) and a grilled lapu lapu. Everything was really good, and the overall experience was first class. Prices are absolutely honest. The restaurant is worth a visit when you are in Puerto Princesa. Be aware that for lunch the restaurant is open only till 2pm.

Excellent restaurant! We tried the lobster: 2400 pesos for two with rice. I recommend it; the staff was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was clean.

Homey vibe, lots of artwork on the wall and ceiling. You need to leave your shoes before entering the main dining hall. Food was very delicious, portions were huge, staff are very efficient. Not your ordinary comfort room also. Do not miss to eat here when in Puerto Princesa.

Kalui Seafood Restaurant is an absolute must-visit in Puerto Princesa. If you want authentic Filipino seafood that feels local rather than "commercial," this is the place. From the moment you walk in, the vibrant, art-filled décor makes the restaurant feel like a gallery. The Food: For the main course, the seafood was—oh my goodness—delicious! The portions are very generous and perfect for sharing. We loved everything. The Vibe & Service: The ambiance is excellent—traditional interiors, warm lighting, and a very "cultural" energy. We loved that they support local artists by displaying (and selling) their paintings in the gallery at the back. As we’ve come to expect in the Philippines, the service was friendly, smiley, and incredibly efficient. Value: It is excellent value for your money. You aren't just paying for a meal; you're paying for a high-quality cultural experience. We truly enjoyed every minute!
