Avista Hideaway Phuket Patong

A great resort with a range of activities and several large pools. My favourite activity was a Muay Thai session with coach, Sky. He was a good explainer and I had a great first session. I am keen to do more sessions in the future.

I've been staying in MGallery Collection throughout SEA. Therefore, it's a no-brainer for my guests coming to Phuket for their 1st time. Besides, I was drawn to the lush greenery Avista has to offer, and the peace away from the crowds. I was wrong. First contact with concierge and check-in team was dismal. I was not assured of the disposition for our luggages. The tag for our luggages was taken away by check-in team. While the drink (butterfly pea) was delightfully pleasing to both the eyes and the palate coupled with a refreshing cooling towel, the check-in process was hurried and left me with more confusion. Ms Kimmy was definitely trying her best and it's not the language. She wasn't sure for the content she sprouted verbatim as if learnt by hard. It ended off with "please scan the QR code for more details". If that is certainly the case, I supposed we could all have done away with human check-in to begin with. We specifically asked to book the shuttle ride to Jungceylon since it was offered by her. We specifically asked for the dress code to Tambu and was told by her "no dress code... go in whatever you're comfortable in". We were turned away by the shuttle-van team after having wasted 20-30 minutes of our time, when we could have GRAB on our own out of the property. That same night, the very first night on arrival in Phuket to try the restaurant listed in Michelin Guide, we were turned away by Tambu because "no sleeveless please" , when female guests were attired sleeveless and seated inside the restaurant. It was extremely inconvenient and totally avoidable if Tambu and check-in team could have communicated clearly about this. While the tasting menu from Tambu was nice, of course this deserves an entirely different review column to itself hence I shall reserve my comments. Housekeeping was abysmal. Yes this was the 2nd day of stay at Avista. Bedsheets were folded, water was refilled and that was it. Rubbish bins were not emptied, floors were not cleaned and toilet was not washed. In fact, I had specifically indicated 3rd person staying and it took several reminders before another set of towel and toiletries were delivered. Again, another miscommunication between front-desk and housekeeping? Following the feedback provided to the duty manager on the 1st day, we were surprised to find a plate of cut fruits sitting on the desk by the end of the 2nd day after we came back from visiting Old Town. However, the plate was not wrapped in clingfilm hence I really had no idea how long the cut fruits were left exposed to the elements and flies. And mind you, this was the same room where the bins were not cleared and the floors were not cleaned. The Room 50_ that came with the jacuzzi was rather run-down and appeared soiled. The jacuzzi pool was unmaintained hence dirty but was still operational. Because this had been the rainy season, it was rather appalling to find the retractable roof swollen with water. The shower drain emptied at glacier speed leaving dirty water for the next person. Vista breakfast was mix of Thai and Continental selections. I had different experiences depending on which team was on shift at the egg station. Kudos to the Tuesday morning team! I had reservations for the condiments and salad bar though because we had fellow flies co-dining. Because there were 2 entrances, I was not sure who to speak with to mention the room number. In fact, I observed people simply coming into the premise to have their meals without being asked or shown to their seats. The gym was adequately equipped and clean. We discovered there was actually a schedule of activities and fitness program which I figured was either left out or probably in "the QR code". I had ventured outside of Avista, hoping to find the path to Freedom Beach viewpoint, and was shocked to see a barricade because the locals living in the vicinity decided to collect toll cash. I certainly hope Avista could improve on the rooms and service standards. Otherwise it is certainly a regrettable experience for such a wonderful locality within Phuket.

Stayed at Avista Hideaway with my family of 5 and had a wonderful experience. The resort is slightly away from the busy Patong area, which makes it peaceful and relaxing, yet still close enough for a quick trip into town. The surroundings are lush and green, creating a calm atmosphere that feels like a true getaway. The resort is very child-friendly, with spacious facilities and a safe environment for families. We especially enjoyed the quiet vibe, beautiful greenery, and the overall sense of peace throughout our stay. A great choice for families looking to balance convenience, relaxation, and nature.

Amazing experience, anytime again. Great staff, service, food everything like it should be and what everyone deserves going on vacation here. Shout-out to the barkeeper at the pool, his drinks are fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay at Avista Hideaway Phuket Patong. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and offers amazing views. The rooms were comfortable, the facilities were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was great, and the service throughout the hotel was outstanding. A special thank you to Kimmy and Arizz for their kindness, warm hospitality, and exceptional service. They truly made our experience memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Phuket and looking for a luxurious and relaxing stay.

I’m currently staying in Phuket, and from the moment I arrived at Avista Hideway patong resort & spa, everything has been exceptional. The hotel is truly beautiful, luxurious, and deserves its 5-star rating. The warm welcome, genuine smiles, and professional attitude from all the staff made us feel comfortable and valued from the very beginning. The services and restaurants available are excellent, enjoyable, and offer a wonderful experience. The swimming pools, cleanliness of the hotel, and the breathtaking atmosphere of the entire property are simply magical. Every detail reflects high standards and outstanding hospitality. I would especially like to give a special thank you to Kimmy, who was absolutely amazing. She took us on a tour around all the hotel facilities and made sure we had everything we needed. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail gave us a wonderful impression of the entire team and showed the high level of care the hotel provides to its guests. Thank you, Avista, for this unforgettable experience, and a very special thanks again to Kimmy for making our stay even more memorable.

I was impressed with the service and staff overall at Avista Hideaway. I appreciated my room upgrade, and the quality of food was good, and the facilities were lovely. The gym was basic, but it was great; it was open 24/7. My suggestion, please keep the music and towels after 6 pm! Sky was a great wellness coach and guided me through several great sessions, including stretch, yoga, Muay Thai, Tai Chi, Origami, and Taabata. The only thing I did not appreciate was that on one occasion at breakfast, I noticed the time and had just gotten myself a coffee from the machine. Rather than trying to scorch myself drinking it quickly or wasting it, I asked one of the staff behind the coffee bar for a takeaway cup. Initially, she told me they didn't have any takeaway cups. (I had seen them with my own eyes!) And then afterwards the story changed to only for à la carte guests. (I was half board) Seriously? I've never experienced such a statement to a guest in a 5* property, particularly as an Accor member. Small gestures like this are what would take away from a 10-star rating. Also, the cleaning staff did the bare minimum cleaning; they didn't go out of their way or act proactively. For example, I left my hair appliance on the bathroom floor - they didn't once try to tidy it away nicely for me. Something I'm used to in Dubai. They didn't proactively replenish amenities. Also, I left something in the bed by mistake, and the tissue was still there the following day - meaning the bed hadn't been made properly; otherwise, housekeeping would have removed the tissue! Overall, it was good value, delicious food, and a good buffet breakfast. There's a 7-11 less than 5 mins walk away and a small beauty salon and a very good massage place just opposite the hotel!

The place was so bra when I got there and the staff Nong the cleaning lady was great. My room was always clean when I come back from wherever I go to and all the staff very friendly and I would recommend hundred percent. Will be returning back.

The property is stunning. The interior and the vibe of it is luxurious. My favorite was the main restaurant I love the food and specially the staff Chrissy and Abhi they were very friendly and helpful .
