Second time we stayed at the Yalo Urban Boutique Hotel Ghent. This time for the concert we booked at the Ghent Jazz Festival. The hotel is located very well in a nice part of the city that is very accessible by car (just park in the Interpark Ghent Zuid and walk a little to the hotel. The hotel was very clean (only some high spots were missed by the cleaning-staff) and the hotel-staff is very friendly and helpfull. The rooms are nicely decorated and have everything you expect and need for a nice stay. We had a room with a view which is nice so you can look over the city. Highly recommended place to start your visit of the beautiful city of Ghent. Pretty sure we'll return to YALO when we're visiting the city again, thanks to the premium location of the hotel and the staff.

I didn't stay at a hotel; I just tried the ground-floor restaurant. 🥗Food: 1️⃣ The Thai beef salad was very good; Asians would like it. It had a tangy and salty flavor, and the crisp lettuce was a great way to cut through the richness. 2️⃣ The salmon tartare was quite refreshing, with a slightly sour sauce, and the salmon was very fresh. 3️⃣ The steak: The portion was generous, and it was cooked perfectly; great value for money. 4️⃣ The squid rigatoni was excellent! The Spanish ham bits provided a very authentic flavor, and the grilled squid was quite chewy. 🍸Drinks: I wouldn't recommend the cocktails. The drinks were €17 but only a small glass, which was disappointing.
