Hotel Enkaya

We chose this hotel for the holiday, but we booked through Booking.com. When we arrived, they told us that the economy room we had booked was full because we wanted to check in a few hours early. They offered to cancel the reservation and take a standard room at the same price with payment on delivery, which we accepted. However, we realized they gave us the same room again, and the hotel was completely empty. They had only lied to Booking.com to avoid paying commission. Furthermore, the rooms were not clean at all; even the staff didn't know if the rooms were clean. We had a very negative experience, so take this into account when making your choice.

If you're looking for budget-friendly accommodation within the walled city of Nicosia, this might be just what you're looking for. It's ideal especially for those who appreciate historical charm. The hotel is located in the most historic and authentic part of Nicosia; within walking distance of tourist attractions such as the Selimiye Mosque and Büyük Han, as well as nearby bars, restaurants, and cafes. The rooms are small, and their windows overlook the hotel's inner courtyard (don't expect a view from outside). The design and architecture are somewhat old-fashioned, not up to modern standards in terms of planning – so don't expect spaciousness or luxury. As a family-run business, the staff are extremely respectful and will try their best to help you with any requests. It offers a very reasonable and friendly experience for the price.

Very nice place, kind and helpful staff, especially the guys who worked at the reception. The room was clean and comfortable! Very good value for money!

The hotel is clean and in an excellent location. The room rate is 3200 lira without breakfast and without any additional services. The only negative thing about the rooms is the unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Please address this issue in the future. There is no elevator in the hotel, and even tea and coffee bags are extra to be paid for, which is a drawback, unfortunately. There is parking next to the hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly.

The rooms are very small, and although the beds are for two people, they are very narrow and not comfortable at all. I wouldn't recommend it.

There's no warning for those unaware that rooms in Cyprus are heated with air conditioning. If you book a room without air conditioning cheaply, thinking that air conditioning isn't necessary in winter since it's not hot anyway, you'll either have to accept freezing at night or pay more to upgrade to an air-conditioned room.

I had a comfortable two-night stay in Nicosia. You can stay there with confidence.

The location and value for money were excellent. The hotel staff were very helpful.
