Scandic Odense

Good basic hotel. If you want to see something you have to go by your own car or bus. The place is on the other side of the highway and maps couldn't find a walking path nearby.

Located a bit outside the city, we used it as a stopover on our way from Sweden to Germany

A Scandic hotel that was very fresh, friendly staff. Clean and fresh rooms. The ceiling fan was a real asset in the heat. Quite okay food, the breakfast was good and they had a wide selection Perfect hotel for an overnight stay when you are traveling. A little off but that is most Scandic hotels

Location is okay if you don’t wanna visit city center. Staff very polite and good service. The bed is mediocre at best. The room it self is okay. The bath has good supplies, but the water pressure is bad. It had a weird smell. And the worst part is the heat. A hotel without AC? Just a fan. I couldn’t sleep at all. The breakfast was okay. Very simple. American fresh pancakes was good.

We spent two nights in a family room in the heat of summer. The room was very warm upon arrival as there is no aircondition, but ceiling fans and an open window helped somewhat. As usual with Scandic hotels the family room contains a bunk bed and a double bed. The room is small, but you have space for your luggage and family with not much room to spare. The ceiling fan was right next to the ladder for the bunk bed and the kid that slept on top needed to be creative to get upstairs without hitting their head. The bunk bed lacked any form of reading light, and had a ledge you can hit your head on if you’re not careful. I really have to give credit to all the friendly staff on the hotel! Everyone from the cleaning ladies to the breakfast servers were really friendly and smiling. It made us feel welcome even though the crew were busy serving another large group of tourists. Location depends on where you are going. It’s not the best location for visiting Odense and the hotel itself is located in a industrial area with nothing exciting going on, but it’s perfect if you just need a night by the highway.

Recommended, nice place to stay

No air conditioning. It was extremely difficult to sleep. Breakfast was good, but a comfortable night’s sleep is the most important part of a hotel stay, and this hotel failed to provide that. At €188 per night, it was overpriced.
