Hotel Finn

Stayed for 3 nights last week and this hostel delivered above what was expected with a little hiccups but was certainly negligible. The day before check in, they already sent the details on how to enter the building hence we were able to leave our bags and luggages in their designated lockers way before check in time. Glad that we also were able to check in early, just contact them and they will not offer it directly but they will make sure to let you know if the room is already available. Beds were very comfortable, lighting is ok and having a mini fridge inside the room was a very good deal. Comfort room is a bit small in Finnish standards but it can make do. Location is very strategic since it's right in the city center. Rautatieasema is very walkable. Forum is just behind it. There's a Mcdonalds nearby as well as a 24 hour S Market. They tied up with resto's nearby for a discounted breakfast but we never really tried that. Wifi connection is fast, there is a Smart TV in the room but Netflix and Youtube apps were not working. The complimentary coffee and tea at reception (whenever it's open) is a lifesaver. Staff were always courteous and ready to help, thank you for granting all our requests! Pls continue: locker storage and WC access before and after check in Suggestions: maybe wash the mat flooring (I think that's the source of the weird smell in the hallway), always change WC curtains (they tend to smell weird after some time), install bidet in the guest WC in the 6th floor. Also pls take note that this hotel is located in the middle of the street full of bars, so it can be noisy during Friday nights (But hey, it's an opportunity to see a drunk Finn) Will definitely book again whenever I'm in Helsinki!
It's problematic if you have a room facing the front and you stay overnight before a holiday or weekend. Then you not only hear the bass from the surrounding clubs, but also the loud conversations of young people going between them. Double windows don't help with that. Around 4:30 am, it's all over.
Very good room, good location in the city center, I recommend
There are many bars and pubs right downstairs, making it super convenient for nightlife. However, the soundproofing is excellent.I didn't hear any noise at all during my stay. Great value for money and very comfortable!
Nice stay in the city center! Clear room, free lockers before and after your stay, etc.
