The only downside is the spiral staircase leading up to the upstairs bedrooms...!😱

The hotel is very well located, and the welcome was very friendly. It's a small, unusual hotel with a very narrow and cramped staircase, but it was sufficient for one night. The breakfast was nice.

Expensive and not clean at all; the window opens onto a 1 m² interior courtyard.

I got lucky as I had a room on the 1st floor. Brilliant mattress and shower, had a very comfortable sleep and the bed was clean. Didn't have breakfast but it all looked very cosy in the dining area. The spiral staircase looks daunting though. Not sure if I want to risk it again 😜

I've stayed at this hotel several times. It has the advantage of being well located in the center of Lyon, near the Saint Antoine parking garage and Rue Mercière, where all the restaurants are. The rooms are small, and the breakfast is meager, which makes the price rather high considering the location... But the staff is very friendly.

Good points: All the staff is super nice and attentive. The location is convenient and for the price it’s okay for a short stay (2 days maximum) The towel, sheets and bathroom were clean. Nice water pressure on the bath. Bad things: NO elevator and super small stairs (don’t stay here if you have a huge bag to carry or ask to be at the 1st floor at least) The rooms are old, there was a little hole on the ceiling, maybe because of humidity or because it’s old. And you can hear a lot when your neighbors arrive an open/close the door. Check out is at 11 so very early ;( at least they can hold your things for some hours.

The only advantage of this hotel is its central location. Otherwise, nothing is right: - a smell of tobacco in the lobby - a tiny room - uncomfortable bedding - a foul odor coming from the drains - noise all night long, both from the street and inside the hotel. (My second night sleeping only 3 hours) - a €9 breakfast that consists of pieces of bread, one croissant, and a few cereals after 7:30 am. Luckily, there's a Paul bakery right next door.

€130 a night to climb the stairs to the 4th floor... No bedside lamp, spotlights hanging from the ceiling, you can't close the bathroom door when you're in it because it doesn't hold, and forget the sockets next to the bed, they're on the other side... plus it's filthy. In short, avoid. PS I hadn't noticed that the hotel didn't have any stars, I understand better, but at that price it's a scam.
