Parc Borély (cruising)

Parc Borély, the large landscaped park behind the Prado beaches, doubles as one of Marseille's long-standing evening gay cruising areas. The action centres on the quieter walking paths, the wooded edges and the car-park areas around the park after dark rather than the family lawns used by day. It is a public park, so discretion and common sense apply: activity is informal and tolerated rather than official, it is busiest on warm evenings, and users should be mindful of others, of park closing times and of their own safety. France has strong legal protections for LGBTQ+ people, but public-decency rules still apply in shared public spaces.
