Hôtel Le Grillon

The hotel is very nice! Unfortunately, we arrived at the beginning of May with scaffolding around the building. Due to the construction, it was a bit noisy until about 5 pm (rarely until 6 pm). Nevertheless, it was very nice! Since we had a room with a window facing the courtyard, the room was mostly dark and not bright enough even during the day without the lights on. However, since we were only there to sleep and relax, it was perfectly adequate and, considering the great price, not to complain about. I'm deducting one star for the limited vegan options at breakfast. It's worth mentioning that they did have soy milk 🙏🏼, but I would have expected a bit more in such a large, touristy city. Perhaps labels could be added to the breakfast menu, indicating whether items were vegetarian or vegan. One morning, there were these little cakes with pistachio (the dough was at least greenish) and chocolate filling. At first, we didn't know what they were and didn't want to try them (thankfully, we tried them anyway!!!). A small sign might have eased our initial skepticism. Otherwise, everything is great! Everything is within walking distance, and the hotel is almost entirely barrier-free. It has an elevator. The rooms have a small step at the baseboard, which should be manageable with a wheelchair (it was definitely possible with a stroller). Only the breakfast room is accessible exclusively via stairs.

It's very good. There's a slight lack of soundproofing between the rooms. Nice place. Great location.

I was very happy with my stay at this hotel, located just steps from the train station and very close to the city center. Thank you to Isabelle for her warm welcome and kindness. The room was spotless, lovely, and comfortable. I was pleased to discover that there was also a kettle with coffee pods and tea, a nice little extra. I will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next trip.

We spent one night in this hotel and what can I say? Everything was perfect, very, very clean, and the staff were all smiles. Isabelle this morning was great! 👍 I highly recommend it.

Friendly staff, full breakfast with local specialties (maybe a little pricey if you're not a big breakfast eater). Slept very well. No complaints whatsoever, it was perfect.

The mattress was far too hard. And the room faced the street, so the street noise wasn't very pleasant.

Beautiful establishment, quiet, clean, and particularly well located. Very generous breakfast.

The sound insulation in the rooms was very poor. Even the slightest noise from people passing in the hallway could be heard inside the room. We had difficulty sleeping.

Perfect for two days in Strasbourg. Great tips from reception, super friendly, excellent location, slept well and had a great shower.

Great hotel with a perfect location close to the city center. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was really good, specially the coffee and the scrambled eggs. Would definitely stay again! :)
