Cold room but in a good place

One of the best places to eat in Luz St. Sauver.

We went for a drink; the setting by the Gabe River was very pleasant. We tried to book a dinner reservation, but being in the shoulder season, the menu choices were limited.

How can I put it? If we had read the reviews beforehand, we would have gone elsewhere. Some are almost a year old and nothing has changed. We can confirm that here they clearly don't care about the customer and that customer satisfaction is definitely not their priority. We ordered two Spanish salads listed under starters, but after we asked about their size, we were led to believe they were generous portions. At €17 each, that would be the bare minimum (the price of a proper salad elsewhere). What a bitter surprise when they arrived! Three lettuce leaves, the same amount of chorizo ​​and peppers, and to top it all off, no ham or sheep's cheese as advertised. They brought us ham on a plate after we pointed it out. We did without the sheep's cheese... a major problem indeed. Either this is a starter and the price should be halved (while still including most of the ingredients), or the price remains the same but the portions should be doubled. And the sparkling water we ordered was noted on the bill but never arrived. I'm sorry, but the excuse of the recent reopening doesn't hold water; it's the concept and philosophy that need to be reviewed, along with their consideration for the customer. They offered us fries as a gesture of goodwill, but we simply wanted a decent meal and to be satisfied. Therefore, we absolutely do not recommend this restaurant since they don't take customer feedback into account to improve things, and we won't be returning. And others will be fooled...

This hotel is a disaster. The exterior is very pretty, but be warned, once you get inside, it's a completely different story. The room was heated to the bare minimum and turned off at night. Beware if you're sensitive to the cold! The bed was also disastrous in terms of comfort and made a horrible creaking noise. The room had very poor soundproofing. Now, let's talk about the mediocre bathroom... One minute we had hot water, the next it was cold, with constant temperature fluctuations. It was also terribly dim. Finally, the breakfast room... It had suffered water damage (water dripping from the ceiling, a large basin on the floor), and this affected food supplies and the coffee machine. This isn't a recent problem, judging by previous reviews. We absolutely do not recommend the Tourmalet Hotel.

Centrally located hotel with clean and reasonably spacious rooms. Very friendly staff.

We had a wonderful stay at this ideally located hotel. We highly recommend it. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is very welcoming.

My partner and I dined there on December 30th and January 1st. We received a very warm welcome both when we made the reservation and upon arrival. The dishes were delicious, generous, and homemade: garbure (a hearty vegetable and meat stew), lamb shank with honey and spices, fondue, and cassoulet. They also offered excellent advice on wine pairings. Clearly, they carefully select their suppliers. We will gladly return.
