Once was enough. Almost empty on LGBTQ+ night. According to the website, the event was supposed to last until 1 a.m. So I arrived around 9:30 p.m. expecting that, and the entrance fee was quite steep. Around 11:20 p.m., they suddenly announced they were about to close. There had been no mention of this upon arrival.
Netter Club. LGBT+ friendly
Review of the **Culture Houze** after an ableist incident on **December 16th** My friend was refused entry to a **sex-positive party** that evening – **not because of capacity, behavior, or dress code**, but because the club staff decided that a staircase was supposedly "insurmountable" for a person with a disability. Particularly problematic: The person in question was **not trusted to assess** whether they could overcome the physical barrier. Instead, the paternalistic argument was that entry had to be refused because the club could be liable in the event of an accident. This is **ableist**, patronizing, and reproduces precisely the structures that systematically exclude disabled people from nightlife. This is especially problematic in the context of a sex-positive event. Implicitly, it reflects the still widespread assumption that disabled people do not have, or should not have, access to sexuality, desire, or related spaces. As long as such clubs remain effectively inaccessible, these prejudices cannot change. This isn't just about a lack of accessibility—it's about **self-determination**. People with disabilities are perfectly capable of **assessing their own risks** and making decisions about their bodies and their participation. It's disappointing that a club with a progressive, open self-image doesn't reflect on this responsibility and instead excludes people for "safety reasons." A functioning awareness and inclusion concept looks very different. Currently, I **cannot recommend** this venue, especially not for queer, disabled, or otherwise marginalized people.
Interesting
My partner and I went to check out the place and they were very friendly. It was my birthday and they treated us to a free shot. We'll definitely be back!
