Terrible service, very unprofessional and in a bad mood; the amenities are not commensurate with the price; you can get something better for the price even in Munich. Other hotels are €20 more expensive, but they are at least brand new. The bed was even dusty, and when I asked why it was dusty, the answer was "it's not dusty, it's normal." Great, really great, what you're ripping people off here!
This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in for work. Although the room was nice, there's absolutely nothing in the hotel for guests. The coffee machine is broken, there's no drinking water or anything else, the refrigerators are empty and turned off, and the terrace is always full of people smoking. If you're traveling for work, or if you have to leave before 7:00 AM, don't buy the included breakfast. They won't serve it before 7:00 AM. I bought it with that option, and then I had to leave for work before that time, and I couldn't do anything to get a refund or even an exchange. I lost my money. They told me they had a "luggage room," and then they said it was a mistake by one of their colleagues to tell me that, and that they didn't actually have such a place to store my large luggage.
It's close to the sights, but so close to the train tracks that there are trains every minute, and all night long. Otherwise, there's no service. The room on the third floor was too high and the TV was too small.
Don’t accept room 114 unless you enjoy railway sounds at 4.20 am and then every 5 minutes or so after that.
The train traffic, which many reviewers complain about, didn't bother me: Of course, you check the map beforehand and see that the accommodation is right next to Berlin's main train line. I had earplugs with me (the hotel didn't provide them) and it wasn't a problem; the windows were also fine. (If it had been hotter, though, I would have missed having a fan under the roof.) I needed a hotel at very short notice that was near the main train station and had an elevator – this hotel met both criteria. Why I'm only giving it two stars: The room was really run-down. That's the downside of the "artistic" design with multicolored walls – you can't just quickly paint over the imperfections. But the room wasn't just run-down, it was downright *dirty*. I'm attaching a photo of my bedpost. Even worse were the conditions in the shared bathroom: Mold is unacceptable. There's a photo of that, too. And to be standing already wet in the shower, only to discover that the shower gel was empty... It didn't feel like a hotel, but more like a poorly run hostel. It wasn't good value for money.
The hotel is located right next to the S-Bahn (suburban train) line. As a result, it was very noisy, even at night, making a restful sleep nearly impossible. The bathroom seemed quite old overall, and the shower appeared neglected. Furthermore, there is no staffed reception on site, which makes it difficult to get answers to questions or address concerns. Information about the stay was also sometimes hard to find. Therefore, the hotel did not meet my expectations. I would choose different accommodation for a future stay.
