Absolutely not recommended. The bed is ancient and rock hard. The slatted frame squeaks with every little movement. It's incredibly uncomfortable, and you can't sleep anyway, since the hotel is right next to the train platform and a train passes by every five minutes. It's so loud that you can't even have a conversation in the room. Despite the noise, you have to leave the windows open because there's no air conditioning or fan in the room. The shared bathrooms are only partially functional and smell bad. I didn't see a single member of staff during my four-day stay (except for the woman who cleans the rooms after check-out).

Great location for a visit to Berlin, the hotel is beautifully designed... There's so much to see! The restaurant right next door is highly recommended! So delicious! Great service 👍

First things first: uninhabitable for people with hearing impairments, and sleep is impossible due to the constant noise from the S-Bahn (suburban train). Therefore, only 1 star. The room furnishings can be described as either unique or mismatched, depending on your perspective. There's no service, of course: the staff would be under constant pressure. The building is located in the heart of political Berlin.

Overall it was a good experience. The train noise truly wasn't bad at all, we were facing the courtyard though so maybe we had it better then others. The bed was quite cozy and the location was very quiet and central. Super close to everything. The room wasn't the most clean but very acceptable. The courtyard is absolutely stunning. The only complaint we had was when leaving the windows open, the courtyard is used as a smoking area so the smell of cigarettes will creep into the room. Overall though id recommend the stay and would book again. Don't be off put by the train noise unless you like complete silence.

Perfect location. Beautiful courtyard and somewhat rustic, yet great rooms. All doors and interactions are via electronic app, which makes questions and help impossible, but it was comfortable, clean, centrally located and really good value for money.

The room was really old and dirty. You could see stains on the carpet, and there were spiders everywhere (I even got bitten). There was always water on the floor in the shared shower. Also, there was literally no one available to help with anything. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean and hassle-free place to stay.

A lovely hotel, something special, very nice. Great location for exploring Berlin's city center on foot. Very friendly staff. The rooms are very tastefully decorated... my only wish would have been for a bit more art. Otherwise, two thumbs up.

Good hotel, good breakfast, good location near the center. Good price for Berlin and its amenities. No elevator.

I found the hotel itself to be a disappointment. There are no private bathrooms, and the soap in the shared bathrooms was always empty and very unhygienic. Mice were occasionally seen running around in the garden. Breakfast was good for the price, but it was a shame that you had to ask the staff if something was empty. I would not recommend this hotel.
