Hotel The Circus

Everything was perfect, thank you!

We spent a weekend in a room without a bathroom. We had a great experience. The spaces were organized and clean. The only downside was that people talk very loudly outside the rooms in the mornings, which makes it difficult to sleep.

Everything inside the hotel was really nice; friendly staff, good breakfast, good rooms. But it is located next to the tram tracks, so it is very loud when they drive by, but that is also positive because it is easy to take bus, tram, metro around the city from here.

We have just returned to the UK after an amazing trip to Berlin and stay at the Circus Hotel. The service we received at this hotel is the best I’ve ever experienced. Special mention to Max and Freidrich (I think). They were fabulous and welcomed us like family. Both make excellent Espresso Martinis. Our room was super clean and had everything we needed. The hotel itself is right next to a station and walking distance to all the sites and bars/restaurants. Thank you for such a brilliant stay!

Circus Hotel is wonderfully located in one of Mitte’s nicest areas, the young, and hip Rosenthaler Platz. And it is so close to the U-Bahn that you don’t even have to cross the street; you just need to count 15 steps and you’re inside the hotel. Circus offers wonderful and spacious rooms, a great bar downstairs with great coffee and cake for those who like coffee and cake, and delicious drinks for those who like delicious drinks!

I loved my stay at the Circus Hostel in Berlin! The hostel is in a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the city. The staff is absolutely lovely, always available, and happy to answer questions. The common areas are very pleasant, with power outlets for charging devices and free Wi-Fi everywhere, which is incredibly convenient. I arrived very early (around 7:00 AM) because of my overnight train from Amsterdam, and I was lucky enough to get a spare bed right away—a real bonus after a long journey! Thanks to the time of year I was traveling, my 6-bed female dorm was never full, which made my stay even more comfortable. There was also a balcony in the room, which was a real plus. Privacy is well maintained thanks to an alcove at the head of the bed. The toilets and bathrooms are clean and serviced daily, which is much appreciated. The badge system is also very reassuring and secure. I also found the presence of a microwave and disposable cardboard cutlery very convenient. Even though I didn't participate in the evening events, I think it's really nice that they offer them to encourage interaction. The decor is really cool and original, and the little museum downstairs is hilarious! A nice little detail: the small "box" in the bed for placing and charging your phone is very practical (and quite fun too). One thing to note: the lockers are very large, which is great, but if you have a small padlock, it might not reach both sides of the locker. I managed to find a compatible locker in my room, but this might not be the case everywhere. Fun fact (but not the hotel's fault 😅): my first two roommates had about 50 alarms set between 8 and 11 am… I didn't dare ask them to turn them off (maybe that was my fault 😄). It didn't bother me too much since I'd already slept well, but for others it might be a bit of a problem! In short: a great experience, I highly recommend it!

Very noisy if your room faces the intersection, but bearable for a short city break. Otherwise, a small, charming hotel.

A definite recommendation!! A fantastic, unique, and personal hotel. Everything is perfect: Great room design – both visually appealing and practical. Spotlessly clean. Friendly and welcoming staff. Rooftop terrace with self-service drinks. Nice bar. Centrally located yet quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely the best hotel in Berlin for us. We love the welcome, the rooms are great and have everything you need, the vibe is relaxed and everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Excellent food and drink choice side breakfast, delicious coffee and the cocktails are excellent. We loved our stay and this will always be top of our list for Berlin trips.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Circus Hotel. The rooms were very cute and well-designed, and the bed was super comfortable - I LOVED the pillows, I need to actually find out what they are because I want to buy them! A great plus is that you can WhatsApp the front desk for requests, such as milk for tea/coffee in the morning which was an unexpected treat. I was also able to get a later checkout at no additional cost by asking them. I didn't take part in the breakfast, but I love that's available until 11.30 - so many end so much earlier! The only reason I have given it 4 out of 5 (and really I would give it 4.5 if Google allowed) was that my room was facing the street, and even with the window closed it was quite loud, especially with the tram going by. Perhaps offering earplugs for those rooms would be a good shout? I imagine the rooms facing the courtyard would be quieter and wouldn't have that issue, so maybe just requesting that in advance if you're sensitive to noise would be good. They do offer fans which helped for the background noise. All in all, I would stay again!

The Circus in Berlin is a very comfortable place. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. The decor is stylish, modern yet full of character; it's not your typical bland hotel. The bed is very comfortable, and both the sheets and towels are incredibly soft—you can really feel it, and it's much appreciated. Also, for those sensitive to noise, there are rooms with windows overlooking the courtyard that are super quiet. You can sleep perfectly well even with the window open. The location is very central and convenient for getting around and visiting Berlin without any hassle. And the staff were delightful. Very friendly and always attentive to our needs. Overall, a very comfortable stay. I would definitely return.
