I was very satisfied. The only thing I didn't like was that many of the good seats were only for guests with expensive upgrades. A mix of seats would have been great.

We paid the full daily rate, and according to your website, the facility should be clothing-optional. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the swimming pool because it was blocked by people in swimwear doing aerobics to music. This effectively ruined our entire stay. We are deeply disappointed and absolutely cannot recommend this facility. My visit took place on Monday, June 29, 2026. I will definitely not be returning to this establishment.

We visited the MediTherme sauna as part of a bachelorette party, looking for a relaxing end to the day. Since we had specifically planned a quiet finale, it was the perfect choice. Right from the start, we were kindly informed that it wouldn't be a problem at all, as long as we were considerate of the other guests and kept the noise down. We didn't find this to be a problem at all – quite the opposite. It shows that a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere for everyone is a priority here. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine, and the food was also excellent. It was delicious, fresh, and just what we needed after a long day. A special thank you goes to Tanja for the bride's massage. She was able to relax wonderfully and leave the wedding stress behind for a while. We will definitely come back again, even if it's not for a bachelorette party. Thank you for the lovely stay!

The Medi Therme Bochum is a true sauna paradise, not just a typical water park. If you're looking for a place that's consistently focused on peace and relaxation, this is the perfect spot, especially since the minimum age of 14 means there's no typical water park noise. Free parking is available, and the changing area is well-maintained, clean, and has plenty of lockers. I was very impressed by the ambiance, the atmosphere, and the diverse, lush, and well-kept plants throughout the facility. The service is excellent. Payment in the restaurant is straightforward using the chip wristband, and card payments are accepted without any problems at the main cashier. It's also convenient that sauna towels and bathrobes are readily available for rent, although I found the sauna towels a bit too short. There are plenty of loungers in various indoor and outdoor areas, a beautifully designed relaxation room with soothing music, and a lovely, secluded outdoor area with plenty of greenery. Just be aware that this is a 100% nudist spa. The sauna area is very diverse, with many indoor and outdoor saunas, each with a different theme. The infusions and scrubs are fantastic, and the variety of infusions is offered throughout the day. There are also plenty of showers. The earth sauna with its open fireplace and the light sauna with its oriental lamps are particularly atmospheric and were my favorites. The food and drink selection in the restaurant was generally good, although there were some minor shortcomings in taste. I had the chicken with vegetables, new potatoes, and herb butter. The quality was perfectly fine, but it could have used a bit more salt, and the vegetables would have benefited from a subtle herbal touch, such as some rosemary. However, I have to deduct points for the structural condition in some areas. Several mosaic tiles are missing, and there are noticeable cracks in the pool walls. A spa of this caliber shouldn't have such a backlog of maintenance; these areas need to be addressed. Overall, a very nice, quiet thermal spa for a relaxing day without the chaos, like a mini Mediterranean holiday. I'd gladly come back.

Please... please, open earlier! Hi, I think the facility is very nice. You can read a lot in the previous reviews. I only want to criticize one thing, which is why I'm giving it one less star... The opening hours, or rather, the opening time. What is that all about?! Opening at 11 a.m.?! Who opens at 11?! Please... I mean, please, open earlier! By 11, the day is practically over. You don't "just" want to use the sauna; you also want to sunbathe. Please open at 9 a.m. (actually, even 8 a.m.). But 10 a.m. would also be a relief. I would come more often because of this, as I have been coming far too infrequently for the past 20 years.

Who are looking for rest, relaxation and peace, this place is a great place for you to rest, relax for your inner peace and regeneration of body and mind. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. PS: You will not need swimsuits for swimming!!!
