I stayed at the Penck Hotel in Dresden for a workshop and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The concept of the hotel as an art hotel with individually designed rooms is particularly appealing – a welcome change for those who travel frequently for work. The banquet service deserves special mention: highly professional, easy to coordinate, and consistently attentive. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were plentiful, with a buffet offered at lunch and dinner, where the beautiful salad bar was especially memorable. The hotel's excellent location is another plus, making it very attractive not only for workshop participants but also for other travelers. The entire team was extremely friendly, helpful, and service-oriented, contributing significantly to the pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommended for workshops and business trips! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Unfortunately, we were given promises before arrival, which then came at an extra cost :-( The junior suite was in poor condition: the shower curtain was moldy and the electrical outlet in the bathroom was damaged. On the second day, some items were already unavailable at breakfast. The response: "That's just how it is :-( It also seems that the reception staff isn't properly trained in dealing with guests. There was no attempt to accommodate them. And this is supposed to be a 4-star hotel. That's unacceptable."

Large hotel, geared more towards groups and bus tours. We stayed there in June over a public holiday weekend. Quiet room facing the courtyard. Breakfast was good, but the breakfast room was very crowded and noisy. The location is quite good – the historic center is 500 meters away. The parking garage is easily accessible, but a bit cramped. Price-wise, it's on the higher end for what it ultimately offers.

The tablet in the room looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. Sticky, dirty – disgusting. If you buy a beer at reception, it should go without saying that there are no bottle openers in the room. Unacceptable!

We were in Dresden for a theater visit and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful service at the hotel. Breakfast was delightful, and there was even bar service late into the night. The story of the painter Penck, whose art decorates the hotel, was also very interesting. The location was ideal as well. We could walk to the State Operetta. The option to rent bicycles was particularly nice, allowing us to cycle along the Elbe River to the beer garden. All in all, a wonderful short break.

The hotel is okay. The decor is more artistic than functional, but that's something different and definitely a plus. There's a great espresso machine at the bar, but unfortunately, you can't buy any coffee from it at breakfast. Not for any price. All they have is awful swill from a fully automatic machine. What a shame. You can get fantastic espresso just 300 meters away.

The Penck Hotel Dresden impresses with its exceptionally designed rooms, which are modern, creative, and very comfortable. The outstanding breakfast, with its wide selection and high quality, is particularly noteworthy. The location is also ideal – many sights and the old town are easily accessible. Overall, a highly recommended hotel with a distinctive character and a pleasant atmosphere.
